It always makes me happy when people take PC98 lore seriously. Most of the plots aren't that different from Windows era games in terms of funny situations and goofy characters. The whole storyline with Yumemi doing her thesis on magic is one of the better ones overall in my book.

This one has outstanding atmosphere to it with just a few still frames and excellent sound design. I love all the small touches, the panning, the way the GUI fights back against you. The technical writing intermissions gave me the same feeling as those scenes in Amnesia. Short and straight to the point. Incredible.

Thanks for streaming our game! The biting doll is the effect of Mizuchi (the third ghost) whose ability is to posses objects and people. She is quite slow since her ability hurts a lot, so you didn't have a chance to see her body in the playthrough. Maybe we could add more clues that the curse is active. We left making rooms for the end so we could only make a few variants in time to submit.

Thanks! We are working on a more rounded version atm. We spent a lot of time on the systems. I was hoping we could make the rooms faster with our modular system, but it still ended up taking a surprising amount of time. Just placing the layout, making sure it is sealed, has spawn points for the ghosts, etc.

Yuuka love, yay. I was frustrated at first, because Suikas move as fast as you do, but the fact that you move faster while jumping spices it up quite a bit. Solid aesthetic, digging the vibe.

Very cute, but the controls felt quite floaty for such a tight and punishing game. I would often walk into bullets, because Youmu wouldn't stop in time.

I am totally digging the 2D + 3D art style. The gameplay needs some feedback for the player and probably better telegraphing, because I couldn't figure out how to use my powers and not get game over. I am looking forward to more of this. Merlin as the star is exciting.

I found the ghosts quite punishing since they had the same speed as the player. If they decide to corner you in there isn't much agency, but I like the tileset and overall atmosphere.

I cannot rate this high as a game, but it's nice to see focus on Yumemi. The writing was very impactful and really depressing. Thanks for sharing this!

The game isn't that complicated technically, but offers a lot of interesting mechanics, puts polish into the feel at the right places, isn't punishing, is really funny and overall strikes high in all categories. Definitely one of my favorites.

Thank you for the encouragement. Quite a bit of progress has been made towards the playable game already. (I threw them off the cliff too)

Thanks, I couldn't make it out of the first pit.

I went of off the information provided in the ****.

OK, the game is cool an everything, but oh my god, having a fast paced chase game get you stuck when jumping against any wall / actively bounce you back towards Komachi is so frustrating.

Oh my god, the game is so good, but the turn speed on the boat just has me ramming evil spirits all day long.

I thought theme was 'life and death' and not 'death'. /jk Love the aesthetic. Got the music somewhere for noobs to listen to till the end? I am not very good at it, but any game that lets you go instantly back into action is satisfying.

As others have said, this is a surprisingly solid platformer. I am really upset when platformers have cheap hitboxes and floaty controls, but Mima handled really well and had really cute animations too. Also, it's freakin' Mima coming back.
