This one has outstanding atmosphere to it with just a few still frames and excellent sound design. I love all the small touches, the panning, the way the GUI fights back against you. The technical writing intermissions gave me the same feeling as those scenes in Amnesia. Short and straight to the point. Incredible.

no choices are choices themselves

i still feel like diavolo, and not in the good way!

I like the concept here where in visual novels, you are usually given some options that may or may not have different outcomes, but in this one, you have some options but they are taken away from you when you pick one unless you choose the 'fated' one. The music also makes the atmosphere feel better. Overall it's quite an enjoyable experience.

I streamed the game here around minute 2 in case anyone is interested in watching it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the writing and the humor, especially the philosophic intermissions! I like how everything, including Art and sound design conveys a very mysterious and tense atmosphere, which is then resolved comically. The way the characters (e.g. Patchouli) are characterized indirectly is very clever! All in all a very good concept and pretty much perfectly executed!

[SPOILERS] Ironically, the stress of choosing your route in a VN is removed from me as I can just sit back and passively watch everything unfold. (Now if only that can happen IRL...) Though, I suppose the takeaway would vary per person. In any case, thought it was a neat presentation, having Patchy do Scientific Analysis on the whole phenomenon and all.

Like Jacoder mentioned, I think this is a strong contender for winning Concept because of how it cleverly plays with the concept of a forcefully linear storyline. In a well-executed twist of irony, following a predetermined fate perfectly is what lets you escape said fate and write your own future. This also ties in well with Patchouli's narration, with how she mentions that both her studies and Remilia's powers are limited by the whims of... well, fate.

The aesthetics and the audio work together to create a chilling atmosphere that's at the same time not overwhelming. Great work!

The atmosphere is quite intense in a good way. While I’m a little sad the endings didn’t get expanded on more, I do like the variety. The effect of Remilia’s power over the game is quite interesting and I think the concept of the choices you didn’t make mattering is very unique.

I think this probably deserves to win Concept on that alone.

The thought of having one's fate sealed, regardless whether it is controlled by a divine entity or not, altogether with one's choices being completely ignored is terrifying..

The art was terrifying whilst mixed with the audio, and these factors emphasized the narrative elements of the game.

It took me until the second branch to understand the point. Pretty clever, and nice atmosphere.

I'd always thought of Remelia's ability as changing fate rather then destroying it, this is a really interesting and well thought out new perspective on a character that I'd never thought much about.
