Yeah, that works too!

So, you have some sprite masking as well here, when she's looking through the window... In curious if there is a way to do it straight in GB Studio?

Ah! It was, my bad!

Why is it called Skittle by the way :D ?

EDIT - Wrong page, sorry! Will post this question in the right place.

At first I wanted to move the sprites up at a different rate than the scrolling... But I quickly realized GB Studio wasn't meant for that :D !

Maybe I'll try to redo the intro in gbdk or rgbds one day...

I love those bubbles, two neat bubble frames.

Seems like the start of a cool story!

Thanks for the kind words!

For the stars and moon, they're sprites, and they're set as 'Pinned to Screen'. The tricky part was to set their background priority flag, I didn't find a way to do it straight in GB Studio (maybe it's there somewhere and I didn't find it), so I had to add an ugly hack in the "engine".

It was a fun little challenge, and a good opportunity to try out GB Studio!

Great stuff! Clever use of GB Studio 'gameplay' sequence too!

Hi there!

That sounds like a fun little challenge. It is in the title... but is there a hard rule about using GB Studio?

It doesn't say in the rules, but is using GameBoy Color ok? Should it run on the classic GameBoy as well?
