Hi, I couldn't help but notice that a game I created 2 years ago is hidden from showing up by search.. I'm now working on it again and would like it to show up by search! the page was made public, "Disable new downloads & Purchases" is disabled, same with "Unlisted in search & browse" also disabled, and there's no real adult content that wouldn't make the PG 13 rating.. So I really don't understand why you've hidden my game from search. I read through the getting indexed page and I checked all the green marks when trying to figure out what could be the issue, Non of it seems related. True, but it is a pornographic Remix of an already popular series. Not to say the creator of FNAF (Scott cawthon) really gives a fuck if people make money from the original series, even the FNAF remixed game "In Heat" costs like 5-10$, which isn't much but still is an entry fee. All I want to see is some focus on Optimization so it works on more then the newest Radeon graphics card lol, that's all! This is still honestly the best done FNAF Fan game in this genre, Graphic wise, Animation wise, and Gameplay wise. But I can only download and play much older versions of the game, since whatever was done in recent versions causes a ton of Lag and performance issues. (and yes, I've tried different resolutions + lowest graphic settings)
i can't believe it's been over a year since ive checked on progress, and no progress has been made once so ever. The game still crashes the EXACT SAME as it did for me a year ago using Windows 10/ My Specs aren't anything crazy, But it's enough to Run a game even if laggy, Like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Etc, without Crashing. YOUR GAME still crashes every time i hit play on Arcade! Don't think it crashes as much on Story, but the storyline and characters introduced are so cringe i can't be asked. Anyway, As a game Dev probably #1 focus should be on optimization of your Game, allowing more people to play it on lower Spec devices. And no, Changing Graphic Settings don't decrease crash chances nor does it make the game run smoother, It still crashes all the same. I had high hopes for this project but now that's starting to dwindle lol.
You have a lot of talent for your age buddy! Try not to stress over time in the future, if you have School and other things taking up your time, Just Focus on your schooling and stuff. There will always be a time to come back and polish a game later on. Obviously for a game Jam that's a little easier said than done lol. But Still, you Did great within the 30 days you had! Great work :)
Good advice, Guess I won't play it again! Also what Video game Script needs or has similarities to malicious codes that are in pretty much any Antivirus software's database? It's sketchy, Especially when I can't even DL it because of this. Quite literally no false positive ever has blocked me from Downloading something COMPLETELY, Unless it was actually Malicious. and i mean never. Plus after trying that Second Story Level, Trust me, I WON'T be playing this shitty Game Ever Again lol, Thank you. See you when he has all your credit card info! +Broken Arcade mode, L Bozo.
Oh so you do understand beyond "idk" on why you can't recompile to PC. And Actually made alot of sense, sorry for bomb barding you with Negative comments! I honestly was just upset that i'd never get to try this lol, Plus Android kinda sucks. And So why is Space a concern when the game is less than 500MB? I get some older computers can take time to Compile, which is honestly still strange because A game I have made with over 45Million Verticies (Obviously causing harsh lag, and the File size was well over 1gb) And it still only took about 10-15 minutes TOPS to compile, on A poor Computer that can't run 90% of todays video games.. So i actually don't get what could be causing your slow Compile time. Is your Unity Editor slow? Or does your Unity consume a massive amount of your usable CPU/GPU? Also i do get it as well if you designed all the Controls and Gameplay around the Touchscreen/Android, then when asked to "Make it for PC" you basically have to rescript and setup Every Last Control and Mechanic but using PC Keys instead of Touch screen. Which in reality, isn't the Most confusing thing in the Game development world, But it can be tedious and Annoying like everything else. Actually most of the time all you have to do is Copy your script and Rename it, and Change out any Control Scheme from the Script out with the Corresponding Keyboard or Mouse Buttons. I actually think there might be some assets on the Store that even handle transferring all your Current Inputs into other Devices as well. Don't take my word though, I do it manually for Controller support so i don't use any third-party assets to do it. I would assume you might also want to add a check to see if the Player Hit a *Keyboard Button Last, or if they Touched the Screen/Touch Screen Last, then Change out the Input type depending on that Check. Anyways, Sorry again for being a dick! I hope to see this game someday on the PC platform because truthfully, It looks very good! :D
Sadly, I made a whole 3D Map and a bunch of assets for this Jam, But the problem is the Performance isn't very good, at all! I think I must've hit some sort of Vertex Limit that my PC can handle at least, and I've tried every kind of Performance Fix I could think of or find :( Occlusion, GPU Instancing, Static Batching, Level of Detail (LODs), etc. But still no fix. Big sad.
Still excited to see what everyone else creates though! :D
Just tried the First Nights Prequel, and got this error "LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHII\Private\D3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 180] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')"
It seems to happen whenever entering the Stage or Goo room.
