Good gamwe

The controls of this game were very fluid and responsive and felt overall very polished. The use of the theme in the mechanic was very nice and I liked the idea that death was necessary to progress, although I had an issue where once or twice dying would not change the level, which I was unsure whether it was intentional or not. I did feel like each level's two versions were a little disjointed from each other, which is to say I felt like each level was comprised of two separate platforming challenges which you can travel between by dying. I would've liked to see the level design of one room hint at the existence of the other room or something to that effect to make the death mechanic have a more satisfying payoff. Other than that nitpick, however, this was a great, polished game!

I loved how you implemented both themes into a pretty fun game. I didn't have people to try local play with, but playing with cpu's or watching 4 cpu's duke it out with me watching was a blast. Other than some collision issues, this was a fun and great game!

This game was awesome, I loved how it really gave me some Ultrakill vibes. The movement felt satisfying and fun to moke around. However, as another commenter noticed, I was unable to take or deal damage except with the grenade launcher, which means I felt like I couldn't utilize the game's after-death abilities or the movement system to its greatest abilities. Overall great game.

I felt like the story was interesting to learn about and the subtexts in the story were thought-provoking. Even though there were some messages in the story I think I initially disagreed with, I liked how the point of the game seemed to be to challenge how we perceive our own actions and morality. I also enjoyed how there were some branching paths with both answers having some truth to some questions with a certain point of view. Awesome game!

I really liked the art and sound design and the game was really fun to play. I enjoyed the idea that dying meant you play as a new wave and you continue the wave where you left off, great use of the theme. I think that melee characters like the warrior were pretty difficult to use because they were pretty short range and holding down the shoot button to attack meant that there were a lot of particles and screen shake so it was difficult to focus on the game and hard to tell if I was actually doing anything. Pretty great game!

The controls and cow herding mechanic were a little hard to get used to but got easier the fewer cows there were on the right. The game incorporated the theme and I did actually like the lasso minigame, but in my opinion, felt like it was a little too disjointed from the actual game in that it seemed like it was a minigame that happened to be in the game rather than a mechanic that works to enhance the main gameplay loop.

Also, a possible bug I found was that, after losing by putting cow 4 in the pen when it asked me to place cow 3 in, I completed the rebuttal and cow 4 was still on the left. The game then asked me to place in cow 4, even though it was already on the left.

Overall cool game and the music was pretty chill.

I thought the art was very charming and liked the touch that each bee had its own facial features. I was a little confused about the boss because whenever it attacked, it didn't seem to do any damage to me; the only way it did damage to me was if I walked straight into it or if it did its ramming attack. Because of that, I was able to kick it to death with no penalty. Overall good game and concept though.

(1 edit)

A very strange project indeed. The voices were funny and I liked the subtle bits of lore in it.

I thought the concept was cool and I liked the player's sprites, but I felt that the controls were pretty clunky in that the player moved a little too fast and that the gravity on the player character was very heavy, so it felt a little difficult to control in the platforming and wall jumping segments.

Thank you for playing my game and I'm glad you enjoyed it overall. I can see your point on the flawed game mechanic and it's even something I kinda subconsciously thought about during the design phase but it's nice to hear these criticisms from someone's perspective other than my own. Stuff like that's always important to consider so I'm glad you let me know of things that can be improved.

Thrust yourself into the Dicey Dome and fend off the King's minions with your sword and platforming prowess. But be warned, the King will attempt to roll the odds in his favor and strengthen his troops.

How long will you survive?

Thank you so much for the reply! I didn't know that was a feature so after tweaking it for a bit I believe it should be working.

I really appreciate you not only playing my game but also leaving feedback, it really helps! I'm glad you enjoyed it overall and I agree that boss cheese that makes the boss too easy in a boring way is a little anti-climactic, so I'll be sure to keep that stuff in mind for my future projects.
