It is impressive the amount of art and polish you managed to do in just 7 days, that said, there is not much to do in the game, after a couple of minutes you explored the entire island and then you just stay there thinking what to do with the materials you just collected, I would have preferred much complete and fun gameplay and sacrifice some of the art but awesome work.
I loved the music and the general atmosphere of your game, the controls were responsive and felt nice, my only complaint is about the layout of the levels, sometimes it wasn't clear enough what to do in order to clear the room, in one of the levels I just couldn't figure out how to do it and I gave up but don't listen too much to me, puzzle games are not my strength, great work :)
I really like the 2.5D look of your game combined with pixel art, the controls felt perfect considering you are in a boat, one of the things I didn't like was that sometimes the garbage would spawn just behind a rock and make it impossible to grab which feels kinda unfair but I understand that since it is generated randomly these things could happen, cool arcade game :)
Cool idea, the enemies and the character animations were pretty cool, I think that with a little bit more polish it would've been easier for the player to know if the attacks were actually working or if the enemies were the ones making damage, also after the first round I had to restart the game because it didn't let me play again, besides that this was an interesting game.
It is interesting how you used the theme of the jam, I liked a lot the aesthetic of the game, and the level was pretty good, my only comment would be that even though you applied the theme by just changing the perspective, by the third change it gets a little bit monotonous in my opinion, great game anyways :)
Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate the time you took to write this down. One of the things I struggled with the most was precisely the problem of letting know the player how many jumps he had available, at the end I thought that the visual keys would be enough, as with the checkpoints I thought about it but ultimately decided to just restart the level just to add some difficulty and try to extend the game time but you are right, waiting for that first platform could get frustrating. Thanks again :)
