Can't argue with the theme, it's definitely a horror game!  The intro card is cool.  The instructions are clear.  The house isn't so big that I get lost in it.  The ball is fun to kick around.  And spooky enemy!  I had a hard time getting the run away timing right, and I managed to double press e back into recent rooms multiple times, but nothing felt too cheap or too gimmicky, so I'm happy.

Great game!

Definitely a horror game; my heart was racing!  The concept is very cool, and the graphics are very consistent with the style!  I'm not very good at the game myself, but I can understand the entertainment it will bring others! : D

Not sure I like that your firefly companion has wall collision, but that's just me; it worked well here.

Awesome work!

Game is not super horror, but kind of neat for a puzzle platformer.  I liked the spatial sound for the enemies, and the mechanic of the doppelganger midway through was also pretty cool!  There were a few visual glitches, but none that took away from the playability of the game.

I wasn't super fond of the tile based levels done with more velocity based movement, but it was okay once I got the hang of it.

Great job!

I agree.  Thanks for the feedback! : D

Thank you for the feedback!  Yes, I didn't balance this game great in the end.  Lesson learned haha!
And I agree, I need to communicate the controls better and sooner, especially that initial battle sequence. : )

Yeah it could definitely have used a little more polish in the end.  Thanks for the feedback! : )

Heyo!  Sorry to hear you are having trouble!  In order to start movement, you'll need to successfully fight the first enemy by using the commands in the bottom right.  It's not as intuitive as I had hoped it would be.

In the future I am planning on rewriting the starting mechanics to be less punishing to learn.

Uploaded 1.0.2 just before deadline (literally 1 min lol)
Feel free to try out this version, or stick with the original submission if the deadline didn't apply to me.

Also I still have no idea if you can win; good luck!

Thanks for the feedback! : D
Yes, I agree with with your observations haha

Not sure how Game Jams work, but 1.0.1 was released after submission time.  I only added it so that people who want to experience a better version can try it out.  It's still pretty buggy.
My main mechanic broke and I've been hemorrhaging time ever since trying to work around it.  Will probably need to rewrite the enemy logic in the future lol. : )
