As other comments mention, this game is super cozy. It feels like game comfort food right off the bat, and has a game loop that immediately reminded me of browser classics (shopping cart hero, motherload, etc.).

It seemed to me like more fish (and higher tier fish) came out during the storm, which was also a fun design decision for less cozy playthroughs.

Really fun submission! Great job.

Myself as well as others I’ve played this with loved the use of 3D physics even though the player is limited to 2D space, which allows the fruits/acorns to roll off the player/branch naturally if you don’t catch them. Well done!

The design is very to the point and fun! Great jam game. :D

I love how much this encourages replay. As I learned the map after a couple runs I found myself trying to formulate strategies for getting the optimal amount of resources back.

Small details like being able to show the timer and having difficulty options also contribute to this replayability, which I enjoyed.

Great work! It’s clear tons of effort went into this, and it’s really fun.

Awesome art style! I was really impressed by the meeples, how they grew over time, and how they built. I was even more impressed when I realized I had to destroy them. :D

While I was playing I wasn’t sure how effective the tornado was - most of my strategies involved placing leaves and as many squids as I could, just because they felt so powerful! That being said, I’m looking forward to experimenting a bit more.

One small quality-of-life thing that might be a quick win for this would be scrolling in/out, but that’s super tangential - and definitely a post-jam polish item.

Overall had a ton of fun with your game and think it’s a really cool idea!

Aha the first jump scare got me! I think that restricting the player to only one direction can make for really fun gameplay. Also, dodging the cars felt a bit Frogger-esque which I loved, it really helped intensify the pressure of the storm!

It took me a bit to get a handle on how to improve, but when I did it really made the game enjoyable. I think it’d be wicked if there were to be an alien at first when you spawn in to stare at and watch vanish so that’s communicated early. But otherwise I had a lot of fun!

Outstanding! This has so much style, and I love that it ties so well into the overall design of the game. It’s really well balanced too - there were a few times when I thought I was home free only to be snuck up on by one of the lesser mobs, which kept me replaying.

Really had a blast with this one! Great job!

WOAH THIS GAME IS SO SICK

Thank you so much for the feedback! I totally agree that the instant death pits are a tad unforgiving haha, we appreciate you for playing through regardless! The wall movement/platform part of the character definitely needs work, we looked into doing some unique stuff there and didn’t get around to fully refining it. I also really appreciate the phase shift love, we definitely felt it was the strongest point for this character and had a ton of ideas for where it can go as an ability - especially within the context of a Metroidvania-style game. We’ll also totally add deeper hints/explanantions in a later build! Once again, thanks so much!
