Just to add, (in the current state) for ranged weapons there is the Pistol, Ak-47 and Sniper

You can buy weapons in the shop after each wave ends - this is still in very early development so sorry this wasn't clearer

Thank you so much for the feedback!

194.02 in rush mode was my best. Really cool game. Needs a steam release with level editor :D

Thank you! At the moment, stages 1-10 are randomly generated with increasing difficulty and chance to spawn more difficult enemies. Then it goes to infinite which basically continues to increase the difficulty.

Thank you! I agree about the freeze ability, however it was all I could come up with for the game with the limitation, while trying to make the rest of the game lol

Thank you! Yeah, I would like to have added music. I did try but it sounded awful so thought it would've been better left out lol

Thank you so much! You should give PICO-8 a try sometime, it's really cool, especially for jams.

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much!

Very cool concept and incredible use of the limitation. It is a bit janky but that is to be expected in a game jam.

I like the idea and use of the limitation. There doesn't seem to be too much depth though, which is fine as it a game jam game after all! Also the music should be quieter or have a bit more variety.

Nice game. Really like the artwork.

Cool idea, apart from the broken depth system. What exactly does the workshop do aswell? I like the artwork. How come there is no limitation?

I like the use of the limitation. However the enemy hitboxes were confusing, it felt like I was being hit from way too far away.

I like the pixel art and the use of the limitation. The movement feels pretty stiff though, I wish it had a bit more float

Thank you so much!

WOW! Thank you so much! It means so much to me that you enjoyed it!

Wow, thank you so much!

Incredible game. Very polished. Would have been cool to have a scenario set in the ocean however

The browser version

Very polished and cool concept. Great use of the limitation.

Really cool concept and artwork. The jump isnt working for me about 50% of presses for some reason though, it takes the input as the sound effect is played, but no jump. Maybe to do with how you handle longer presses meaning jump higher? Overall solid game though.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Cool game. There are a lot of errors that appear in the console window though, seemingly related to the spawning functionality, making the game restart. I also feel like there should be more feedback when charging up the laser, such as a screen shake. I like the concept and art though.

Really cool game and concept. Shame it's download only though, may hinder the amount of reviews you get. I also feel like when oxygen starts to get low then the screen should shake, or some other form of building suspense, as when oxygen depletes now it just goes straight to the game over screen.

Pretty cool game. Player movement feels very restricted though. Also there isn't really any challenge as you can just hold space and steam through the enemies.

Really unique interpretation of the limitation, which is great. I really enjoyed the concept, I thought the gameplay was fun. Visuals were OK, but for some reason they were all blurry, as if they had some filter over them? If the pixel art was sharp with no filtering it would have looked better. Apart from that, overall solid game.

Nice game, I like the idea. However I feel the tutorial is confusing. It tells me WASD to move, implying it is top-down, but then uses AD for left and right, W for going up and S doing nothing? Apart from that I really like the use of the limitation.

Very cool game and concept, well executed. However, as there are health pick-ups that are blue and also enemies that are blue, it is confusing at first as to what is there to help or hinder you. Maybe all enemies should be a red colour, like the lava coming out of the volcanoes? Only a minor pick though, really like it other than that.

Really cool game, very good use of the limitation. I like the art, but the bazooka feels very out of place; it would be nice if it was also pixel art style. Other than that great game.

Very cool game. Love the use of the limitation. Very interesting concept.

Thank you so much for the review! Yeah, the switching lanes cheat was an issue I found when playtesting - I added the 2 other types of enemy in order to reduce this issue, but it still definitely exists.

Thank you so much for the feedback! About the controls, that is strange, as it is supposed to be just following the mouse without any clicks etc. Were you playing in fullscreen?

That does seem like a great idea about maybe being able to destroy obstacles with enough of the rods... I will see if I can implement something like this in the future.

Many thanks!

This is Slimey, a brand new game of mine. Slimey is a pixelated arcade top-down shooter game where you face randomised waves of enemies (currently only 1 type) to gather coins. You will then go to the store to buy ammo, potions, and cosmetics that will give you buffs (currently only 1, the Top Hat, which increases movement speed). You will buy upgrades to your gun to make your job of killing the enemies easier. At the end, you will get a score, and can start again to try to beat that score.

Currently the game is in an early release. Only buy it if you want to see it develop and become better or just like game's concept.
