I didn't know Doctor Eggman used Duel Monsters cards to move around his lab!

It took quite some effort to get past stage 3 and I was ultimately defeated trying to beat stage 4. I really enjoyed the challenge. Imo a nice little puzzle game with an original take on the gameplay.

Darn, I really should have brushed up on my dick knowledge before taking this test.

This was a strange little adventure. Rip all these npcs, there's nowhere for them to run anymore.

If you decide to keep working on this game, adding functionality to some tiles might be interesting. Like having spikes, slime or holes to fight your enemies with. Although it would be solely RNG based or knowing how the tile randomizer works.

I'll get back to you after the rating phase. I would really like to know how the hive construction should work, as in what resources are used, which type of ants help build it and where they store all the excess material. Also, if you know of any real life ant species with "special abilities" that could give some inspiration. I definitely wanted to add a ranged or siege unit. Maybe even an upgrade, that lets your harvesters carry ants that have fallen in battle back to the hive to recycle them and get 50% food back.

Aside from watching the occasional youtube video I have no clue about ants. But I wanted it to be as whacky as possible, while making it seem like your usual late 90s/early 2k RTS at the beginning. Depending on how much I work on this after the jam, I will look more into ant behaviour and make the environment a little more fitting. I actually had a system for making a hive planned, where you can start a mound and dig into the ground, but that obviously didn't fit into the time budget.

It's probably the evil red glowing eyes with the always mad voice acting lol

Thanks! The music part was supposed to tie into the rts gameplay, but I didn't get around to it. I will work on it a little more after the rating phase ended. The way it's supposed to work is that only a set amount of units die in each combat, up to a random limit until "they bring the music", where they can only die after dancing for too long. And the damage dealt to the armies depends on how well you did in the song part.

lol I think my scanner should have converted my stick figure drawings into code. I just accidentally put the download on hide >.>

should be back

Lol, now that was unintentional, I put it on hidden
