If you're playing on PC you should be able to pull your saves from the old install then place them in the new one, default location for most Ren'Py games is the games folder above the exe. Found it works most of the time unless the updates are particularly extensive.

Dunno how many of y'all would remember them, but this game made me think about the Fablehaven books. Read them when I was a little brat and couldn't help but think of Patton and Lena again (the less said about his uncle and Ephira the better of course), a slow-burn heartwarming romance that hits all the right notes so far.
