The game didn't work for me. I saw the submarine but suddenly it cuts to a first person view and I can't look arond. Only move forwards. The music was good though!

Random game :D The only thing I could get off the to do list was the chirp. Rest wouldn't register

Nice game :D Made me laugh! The writing was good!

Great little game. The red box did not reset when I died which meant that sometimes I would lose very quickly.

Very nice idea! I think you could have removed the ability to look at the entire level with the space bar. Maybe only in the beginning. Having to use the mouse to look at moving enemies is so much fun!

Nice game! Good candidate for a mobile game. The puzzles were great. I missed a way to manually restart the level and I wasn't clear from the block whether it would count down from three some times. But cool game!

Very nice game. Fits the theme, looks great and plays good as well. Nice job!

Game looks great. Consistent art work. Would have been great to see the theme incorporated a bit more in the game play

Swinging worked great! It's quite easy to tell that some cubes aren't real so they don't add much to the challenge. But the swinging was awesome!

Hey hey. Here is ours https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1419601
Will play yours right away!

Great art and story. Point and click games are now usually my thing but it was nice to play something unique! :)

I like to think that our game is unique. It uses light sources to reveal unreal surfaces. Will play yours as well :)

Nice idea! I lolled at the ending :D Would've been great to see some more art by you. Anything that's unique is often better than standard colors :)

Our game is called OINK!

Great Idea! Felt very original and the level design was great. I like how the stones are initially a threat until you realize they throw them at each other.

Jeps jeg er dansk. Godt gættet! :D

Hey! yeah sure! The lamp has two pins coming out the sides of it. Try pushing the pins to make the lamp rotate with your body. It's heavy so the rotation is quite slow :)

Rated and commented yours :) Ours is here https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink

Nice that you basically developed a few different games and put them into one! Not having played undertale made the combat quite difficult.

Played your game. The mechanics were surprisingly similar to our game :D

Hey your game reminds me of our own :D Lights and fake walls! Yours is much scarier though. Good job! I liked that you had to learn the levels to save battery time.

Great game. Good candidate for a mobile game. I can imagine me fitting together lands on the train :) I would have liked to see the game jam theme incorporated a bit more.

Polished game with a cool idea! I was quite bad at it though :D Killed way to many humans!

Nice idea! With a little polish this is a great candidate for an addicting mobile game!

Our game is called OINK. A mysterious puzzle game

I did a small post on the visual part of the effect if you are curious https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink/devlog/352582/how-we-did-the-holes

Thanks! If you're interested in how it's done I made a short post on it https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink/devlog/352582/how-we-did-the-holes

Some of our raters have asked how we did the effect on the main mechanic. I thought it was a good opportunity to practice my technical writing so here is a devlog post going through it https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink/devlog/352582/how-we-did-the-holes

I kept it short but if there is anything I can clarify please ask!

You can play the game here: https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink

I also will be playing jam games tonight so feel free to share your game in the comments and I will try it out! :)

Hey thanks for playing! Yeah there is a bug in the end. You should be able to get through if you walk backward. It's a bug that happens because the flashlight is interfering with the other lamp :)

Thank you!
I think the bug is a result of the interference from the flashlight. Thanks for reporting we will look at it :)

Thank you so much!
And thanks for the bug testing! :D Sounds like the flashlight is interfering with our collider logic. Will take a look

Hey hey
Our game OINK is her https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink

Thanks! It's on our roadmap ;)

Glad you liked it! There are two parts to the effect:
The visual hole is done by fetching the light attenuation at a fragment, if it is high enough, we discard it (overlayed with some screen space noise)
The collider hole is done by splitting the wall collider in four (left, top, right, bottom). The colliders are scaled and positioned based on four ray casts from the light source (an approximation of the spotlight volume). So the result is a rectangular hole in the collider that encompasses the circular visual hole.

Hope that makes sense :D

I agree

Hey hey! Would be super awesome to see you play our game OINK https://jonasmortensen.itch.io/oink
A unique puzzle game using lights

Damn that was awesome! Thanks so much for the comments! We really focused on the polish and making something that was close to production ready so I'm super stoked you acknowledged that!
