Ohhhhhh ok gotcha

I really liked the idea, could use a tad more polish though. Good job!

Great concept and great use of the theme! I wish there was a how to play screen or something because I was a little confused at first but I picked it up pretty quick. The only other thing I would suggest is a little more visual feedback especially when it comes to the boundary switching. Great job overall!

Thanks :D

Thank you for the feedback! Improving the combat would definitely be priority 1 if I kept working on it, I don't exactly understand what you mean about the enemy delay?

Sorry, I'm using gamemaker studio 2 and I don't have the license for html games, as for mac I'll need to keep that in mind for the future

Thank you!

thanks! The little comic book popups have to be one of my favorite parts haha

Thank you so much! The gameplay does get stale fast for sure, I definitely put most of my effort into visuals and effects. I'm really happy to hear that work payed off :D

Fantastic work! Loved the music and art, and the connection to the theme was great.

Thank you very much! I'll definitely check yours out too!

Thank you!

Thank you! There is no end goal besides going for as long as possible, I agree that I should've included a score system or something for that. I wish I could've added more random elements for replayability but you know how game jams with time limits go...

Thank you for the feedback! I've never made music before and I just threw it together real quick before I submitted the game, and I agree that it can get repetitive after some time. I didn't really know about the moving faster diagonally thing, it definitely wasn't intended and I'll need to keep that in mind for the future :P

Thanks! I played your game and really liked it, I rated it but I must have forgotten to leave a comment :P

I was really impressed by the lighting effects, especially considering I still haven't figured out how to do lighting in gamemaker

Cool concept and mechanic! One problem I had though was that the movement was really slippery and made the character hard to control, leading to some otherwise great levels feeling frustrating to complete. Otherwise, really good concept that could definitely be expanded on!

I'd also like some more feedback if it's not too much trouble! https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/767558

Really fun game with great music and visuals, good job!

Cool game! It was a little unclear of what to do and it ended pretty abruptly, but the visuals are nice, the music is good, and the mechanic is well executed. Good job!

I would love to get more ratings, my game is https://skrank-gangster.itch.io/meltdown

Really good game! The level of polish is incredible, given the time limit! The audio and light effects are great and the puzzles are too. My only gripe would be that the platforming-heavy levels were a bit frustrating because the character felt a little too slippery. Great work!

Really good game! The puzzles are simple yet fun, and it was an enjoyable experience overall.

It's my first time too, I'm also really happy I took part in it! I'll check your game out. I'm also looking for feedback!

Fantastic game! The visuals and audio are amazing, and the game is really fun and satisfying to play.

Really cool! Loved the light effects and was nicely done overall. Main mechanic was really cool but it took me a little to figure out the controls for it. Nice Job!

Thank you for the feedback! The explosion was one of my favorite additions while working on it. I was thinking about a score system but there wasn't enough time to add it in the end, but I might continue working on it later on to add more features like that!

Thank you, it means a lot! I spent a while trying to make it as frantic as possible so I'm glad it paid off.

Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to add some kind of door or obstacle or something but I was afraid of missing the deadline so I focused on polish instead. I'm really happy you liked the music since I've never made music before and threw it together really quickly as an afterthought!

I really liked the music in the dungeon! Really fun game overall, I'm impressed that you were able to do as much as you did in the time limit. Good job!

This is my first game jam too and I had a lot of fun! I really stressed during the last 2 days trying to get the last features and polish in but it felt great turning it in.

It was my first jam, and I've messed around a lot with tests and prototypes but I've never made a full, completed game. I learned how to do audio and ui, and I also tried making a song for the first time!

Here's the link if anybody wants to try it out: https://skrank-gangster.itch.io/meltdown

Really cool mechanic with fun levels! Always nice to see a fellow gms2 user

I liked the main mechanic, and the game was fun and a little frustrating at times. Some form of level select would be great, especially because there were some times that the level didn't auto reset when I failed.

Cool concept! My only complaint would be that it's a bit buggy. One improvement I would suggest is making it clear to the player which coin each coin teleports you to .
