Very creative concept and a fresh take on this jam's theme! Given more time this could become a very unique platformer.

Art direction and audio design are an easy 10/10, and I love how you decided to tackle the theme. I really liked the mechanics of scanning and buying upgrades for your ship. I just wish I could skip the intro, which felt very long especially for a game where dying and retrying is such a core part of the gameplay loop. But aside from that, congratulations on the game, it's nothing short of amazing!

Such a unique entry and concept! The sound design was on point and the artstyle is cute! I wish the orca covered a tiny bit more distance with each click, but the gameplay felt satisfying regardless.

The gameplay loop is surprisingly addictive and very fun! Sprites look amazing, although the audio felt a bit lacking (bgm would be a good addition). Congratulations, you guys nailed it!

Such a fun game, one of my favorites so far! The DOOMesque visuals mixed with retro 80s art direction is absolutely genius. Run n gunning in this felt so satisfying too, made me feel like I was speedrunning DOOM. You can actually clip out of bounds by pushing a melee enemy against a wall, after which you can skip the entire game and jump right into the boss fight. I know this wasn't intentional, but I absolutely loved this bug and I'm glad it's there. Feels like a speedrun strat!

Just played your game and I think it's one of the most fun entries by far! I left a review on your entry where I explain w/ more detail why I liked it so much. Thank you for playing our game and congrats on your work!

The artstyle and audio are pretty cute! I suck at this game tho hahaha maybe because I'm playing with a mouse (probably skill issue). Awesome work, congrats!

The sprite work is some of the best I've seen in this jam so far! Absolutely loved the enemy designs and the eldtritch boss at the end. I think the bullets could deal a little more damage, as it got to a point where killing the eye fish without spending all 3 missiles was very difficult. You guys could also make the boss flash white like the rest of the enemies when it gets hit, just to make it more clear that the player is damaging the boss over time. Given a little more time, this could become an amazing mobile game! Congratulations!

Thank you so much! Hearing positive feedback from you guys is an honor, given how polished and well made your entry was! Your game is definitely one that stood out to me the most and I'm looking forward to Vol 2!

Thanks so much Bitshaper! Glad u had fun with our silly little game hahaha. Just played your game too and left a review. Congrats on your work man!

Excellent. Almost everything this game has to offer is excellent. The art direction looks amazing, the sound effects complement the environment and feedback nicely, the writing/dialogue made for a very compelling narrative and the gameplay up until getting the explosion ability was very fun. I'd just say that the explosion ended up being a bit too strong, since you could spam it out with no cooldown and become basically invincible. The voice acting was slow and a monotonic which, although probably intentional, made it difficult to pay attention to the otherwise great narrative. Still, overall an amazing game, congratulations!

The voice acting was fantastic and really gave life to the characters in this narrative. Not to mention the art direction, which I found pretty unique and fitting for this jam. Gameplay got a bit repetitive and tiresome after a while but the story kept me going.

Hey! Nice work on your first time completing a game in one week! It's unfortunate that you couldn't make your own sprites for this project but game development really is a tough race against time, so don't let that discourage you. Let this jam be a learning experience for you, and I hope you keep participating in more jams in the future. Good work!

The gameplay feels a bit janky, since the player can spam jump and fly everywhere. That being said, the art is genuinely beautiful. The backgrounds for levels 2 and 3 look really cool and the cutscenes had a memorable artstyle that made for a bittersweet story. I really like the concept too, going for a "dream dive" instead of a literal one.

I think you could make the game a little bit harder by giving the player less oxygen. Sometimes I would just fail miserably to dodge swordfish but would still make it in time to replenish my oxygen. Nice work tho! Dodging sea urchins was fun!

The controls are a bit hard to grasp when you first start, but I found myself having  fun once I understood the controls. The initial complexity of managing the panel is what makes maneuvering the bathyscaphe so satisfying. The low poly visuals were also a treat!
