It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that the game is top-down and 2d, rather than first person and 3d (I thought the walls were actually the edges of 3d terrain), but once I did it was great!
Really don't have any criticism other than maybe include an optional tutorial.
Thank you! We've got some great updates rolling out that will hopefully improve user experience.
nice art style bro i like how he colors are really feeling like a real radar pixelart style also the bloom make it more polished i thinked your game would be like 90 or even 100 rates but u had only 40 rates that really sad i believe you might get 60 rates in this last days you deserve 5 stars graphic and Game design
This game is really well made, it's a very unique concept and the voice acting is superb. Great work!
Hi, would it be ok if I show your game in a recap video for this jam?
Absolutely! Thank you for the exposure!
Hi! Here is the link to the video!

This is a really cool game, I like the radar mechanic and the color palette. I did unfortunately get stuck, wedged into a tiny space at -17, -47, where I was unable to move any more to continue the game.
Oh my goodness that's wild! First we've seen of that happening. We'll patch it thank you!
Obviously it would be best if no one ever got stuck at all, but as a general failsafe and QOL addition, maybe something like being able to return to the last beacon you hit as a checkpoint would help.
You gave up too early after you got stuck. After your death you restart at the last beacon you hit just like you suggested! We've got a lot of changes upcoming including save codes like old school games in case you want to quit and play later and start at the last beacon you left off of.
Cool idea and fun implementation. I failed pretty early without realizing if I even was moving in the general direction of the goal, but the core loop is fun, simple and novel, so I'll probably try again.
Thanks, we've been working on making it even more fun and will release updates after the jam voting is finished.
nice one!
I hates everything about this game. The dark (yet not so dark) atmosphere, the constant feeling of being lost, the horror whenever a red dot appeared, the dread to use another sonar because you never knew how far you still have to go, ... terrible. Worst half hour of my life. Or was it an hour? 10 minutes? I don't know. I was so captured and couldn't stop. Why would you create such a game, knowing that people won't be able to stop playing. Now I need to go outside for a bit just to get rid of that feeling of being stuck under the sea... Outside! Where the sun lives! And trees! Why do you think I play video games? To go outside?
:D
Thanks for the review! After I read, "I hate everything about this game" I thought "oh no!" but I'm glad we captured your imagination!
Love the VA work, the sonar level revealing mechanic is really well implemented. the lack of "proper" graphics open up for the player to imagine what is out there and builds a fitting "lost in the deep" atmosphere. Good job!
Well done! Very different from the other entries, I love the sonar system, it would be cool if the game would save the terrain you explored previously so progress can be smoother.
Please have a look at our game! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236711
the acting, sound and visual are really great! one of the most pollish games in this jam
Amazing game. Graphics are great, voice acting is awesome, and the machanics are fun and really creative. It's a bit hard sometimes, since you can very easily get lost. But I get that somekind of hint system, isn't really easy to make for a game like this. Had a lot of fun playing this.
Great game. Keep it up♥
That was a thrilling ride, but finally made it to the end. The Game Over part somehow came pretty surprising^^
Is has maybe a simplistic looking style but it's probably the best graphics of all, your own imagination. And the whole mood fits perfect to the theme.
Really liked the story and the voice-actor was awesome. All in all a great job!
P.S.: You should think about an hardcore-mode: Each time you hit a wall you get damage. That would be insane :-D
Thank you so much and so glad you beat it! Great feedback!
Through the depths of the sea!
Things I enjoyed ✔️
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
Overall 📓
You did a great job with this title and deserve so many more ratings! Great job! You are one of the best titles I have played!
This is really awesome feedback! Thank you so much!
Magnificien one! Voice acting is superb and story is great and it sounds and feels so profesional that blows me away. Gameplay is fine, but some directions in dark would be helpful. Congrats!
Really great and ambitious project for a game jam . I like the story and game-play mechanics. Quite different and new. I didn't get too far but i really enjoyed the game.
Very interesting concept and story.
20th rating!! :)
This game is really neat. I liked the story and the game's aesthetic. I think it could've been a little spookier but nice job overall. It played really well.
The feel of the game was nice and easily understandable. had an interesting story i could easily get behind on an expanded. Loved the sonar mechanic.
Amazing story, concept and audio design, the narrative was deep (pun definitely intended), and the visuals complemented everything else.
The gameplay got a little bit repetitive and frustrating because of all the possible wrong paths you can get stuck exploring but overall a cool experience.
I did find a pretty OP exploit though, if you spam Space just after getting to a beacon you can basically have infinite battery until you stop pressing space because it keeps regenerating.
