Where is the like button when you need it? hahaha
you're welcome!
the game fits the theme, and is easy to control the character, the minimap is not necessary (in my opinion of course) i would make the enemies appear on the screen instead of being the majority of the time offscreen shooting you, and will add collision to the bullets to avoid enemies shooting you from the end of the map.
The only thing that i really didn't like was the music, thanks for including a button to disable it lol , other than that, i really enjoyed the game.
i suck at this kind of games, i had a very hard time finding the small stuff, i ended up throwing everything around ahaha, cool and minimalist experience, the music serves it's purpose and the game is fun to play, maybe some kind of penalty for throwing the wrong stuff to the other half could add more challenge to the game
i really liked the idea, i did a very similar thing with the light and darkness... anyway, very atmospheric platformer, the spites are beautiful and the glow effects are well made, maybe i didn't see it , but there is a way to control when the light goes out, or i just have to wait the cycle for the sprites to show up??
i really liked this game, it's very addictive and fast paced! the theme is well merged into the game, and the controls are great, the need to think before shooting makes the game a fun challenge, i can't imagine how awesome this game would be with more time put on it, you have a great initial project to start
here is the game that i made, a game in which you control the character with your voice
https://itch.io/jam/blackthornprod-game-jam-3/rate/898726 // this is the real one lol, thanks to the one who point that out!!!
As the title says i want to reach the 30 ratings, (or more if i can lol) and i have 27 , if you rate my game i will rate yours.
have in mind that i already rated like 150+ games , so there is a chance that i'm already played your game , i will let you know in a reply...thanks and have a good day!!!
in the page i uploaded a .rar file , i leaved a link to a zip file that i uploaded to my medafire account, i made the zip fiile with winRar i don't know if that has something to do (i believe not but anyway) here is the link , i just downloaded in another pc and is a .zip file, in the name says winrar zip file https://www.mediafire.com/file/u7vhek4e37p9fg2/BTP_GameJam_Hope_GameFolder.zip/f... maybe you download it and see the .rar icon?? idk
yeah i don't have a mic so i had to use headphones to make the game, as i say on another reply, i'm surprised that people have been able to play it....i didn't put keyboard controls because that would be against the purpose of the game, i don't know how to say it, basically it would ruin the experience because it was "designed" (i put it like that because it's more a prototype than a game ) to be played with your voice, you wouldn't have the same kind of "satisfaction" when moving the sphere if you used the keyboard , i aimed at a more kind of organic experience, if that makes sense lol...
i didn't install the tools to make a build for that os.... pc has been the standard for gaming besides consoles, (as far as i know of course) i didn't hear things like a skyrim port for linux or mac (i can be wrong tho), can you make partitions in a mac pc?? maybe they locked down that option on they hard drives...
here is a zip version (i uploaded to my mediafire account) https://www.mediafire.com/file/u7vhek4e37p9fg2/BTP_GameJam_Hope_GameFolder.zip/f...
i get it, having a job and get together with other people is difficult because everyone has their own things to do besides the jam, at least you managed to finish the game conquering all this challenges, that's a great way to learn how to adapt to the circumstances, and to keep working no matter how, that 3d model of the ship (the one in the title) is awesome, i do a little of 3d modeling and i can tell you that doing that is hard ( I can't do that ), the player model is small and certainly one cannot appreciate the little details, a low poly version would have worked better, anyway i will check the new build , thanks for not getting angry about the feedback, i was trying to point what could be improved, in your next jam you will do this a lot lot better because of the things you learned in this one.
i really liked the interactive 3d menu, i will steal this idea lol, congrats for making it to the end of the jam!!! the game is cool, but the camera made it really hard to play i has a lot of sensitivity (i would tone it down a little), i don't know if the inverted axis are intentional or not, but if not, you could reverse them by just putting a negative sign in the value of the axis for the camera movement vector. great game for a first jam, i hope you and your pal had enjoyed the challenge. cheers!!!
i really liked this puzzle game, the puzzles are well made and presented, the only thing that i didn't like was the Z and the X buttons, they could be the Q and the E buttons, other thing that i would add is a "reset the puzzle" button, in the first level where you have to push the block with the 3 or 4 slimes i pushed it the wrong way and i couldn't access a place to move it down, so i wasn't capable of finishing the level , actually i did pass that level, but because i sticked the slime to the wall and practically wallrunned outside the danger zone. great game!
i liked this game, very calm and chill atmosphere, the player character is responsive, and looks awesome, the music and the sound effects are great, the only thing that i noticed was that you can play the jump sound every time you press the spacebar even when the player has already jumped and it is in the air, but that is just a minor detail compared to the rest of the game, which is great.
