I liked your concept a lot and I thought the boss had a lot of cool visuals! I like your take on the theme, but the theme also works against you because the fight is slowed by the crafting. Maybe using hotkeys of some sort would help?  Overall, fun cute game!

I like the idea a lot! Cool use of the makeshift theme.

From one raccoon game to another, great game and great use of the theme! I thought the gameplay was unique and I liked the use of varying stats. My one point of improvement would be to make the controls more intuitive.  The right click to move and dash were hard to navigate. Otherwise, cool game! 

I like your concept! Avoid the boss until you can create the weapon to beat it. 

I second some of the other comments here on needing more intuitive controls and communication about how to play the game. A small counter telling me how many items I have left to collect and and indication of when I can attack the boss would make a worlds difference. I also think there's something going on with the 4th boss. I couldn't see how it was attacking. 

Regardless, a cute and fun little game!

Hey, thanks for playing :) Glad you liked the plot, we certainly had fun with it! 

A note on difficulty - Our bosses are designed to require a couple of tries to beat them. Our method of measuring difficulty was to challenge our play testers to successfully beat the our bosses without losing any health, and of course, making sure we as the developers could do so as well. That being said, our sample pool of testers was small, so this is helpful feedback, thank you! And if you remember a particular attack you felt needed to be clearer, please let us know! 

Aw, you got me cheesin :) This is everything we wanted to hear from someone playing the game. We appreciate your feedback about the telegraphing. If you remember the specific attacks that you felt could've had better telegraphing, let us know! We always strive to improve! 

Your game has so much personality in it! The bosses were fun and well designed. I loved the animations.

I did have trouble distinguishing what items I was picking up and what powers they would give me, but I personally felt the surprise of it made it a lot of fun. Good stuff!

We have a third and final boss in the works, but unfortunately mama owl did not make it into the jam. We did design the bosses to require a few attempts to learn and defeat. We believe that is a hallmark of a fun boss. If you have any feedback on how we can improve our design, we are open to hearing it!

I liked the overall aesthetic and the bosses are super classic. The animations felt smooth. However, I didn't understand how the makeshift theme was incorporated into the game. Overall,  with more time and wellness this could've been a really nicely made game!

You have some nice backgrounds and a cute story! I do wish there was more gameplay to it. Also, I also liked your voice acting :]

I thought this was SUCH a creative way to incorporate the theme! I was excited to fight my homemade boss and see what it could do. A suggested improvement would be to add more controls to fight with, such as jumps and dashes. Overall, great game concept!

Absolutely beautiful art. I love your style. Your animations are the smoothest I've seen. After defeating the first character, I was left ready for more! I would've loved to see what could have been done with more complex boss mechanics.
