Lol that's feedback we've gotten a lot. You have to back all the way out of the buy menu to see the car! Will def change for future patches, and thanks for the kind words.

Thanks so much!

Update, I've had to change back the resolution for other people to play. But, if you ever want to try the game out and give it a fair shake just let me know and I'll switch it right back. It would be really appreciated :)

I like the style, the graphs are funny, and the music is charming! I just felt a little lost on what I was actually supposed to be doing at times. Maybe for something like this, a text box that just spells things out for you straight up would be helpful. We fell into a very similar trap when making our game lol (probably worse), people didn't understand what they were supposed to do at all, so it's definitely not easy to get right!

Thank you so much for letting us know about this issue. If you wouldn't mind, could you try the game again and just let us know if the scaling works properly now? I've changed the target resolution to hopefully match yours, and if it works then I'll know it's an issue with the godot scaling settings, not with the browser, computer, etc.

That's definitely something we intend to add in the polished version of the game! Thanks for playing and taking the time to give proper feedback, it's really appreciated.

I think the single thing that would make this game better is collisions. In unity, you can stop that sticking to the wall thing by applying a physics material with friction set to 0. It's super easy and not a lot of beginner devs know about it. Nice take on the theme, and I hope you continue to polish after the jam, even if just a bit!

One of the first game jam submissions I played this year, and I'm just coming back to say it's still one of the best! Fantastically creative, polished art style, funny dialogue, etc. Great, great, great work. If I had to give feedback it would be I was trying to figure out what to do for about two minutes, so maybe a little more overtly pointing the player in the right direction (not the actual building per say, but rather how the two worlds interacted). Y'all should be proud.

My main feedback is about the physics. I just wish there was some kind of air resistance so that I didn't go flying every time I jumped. Physics on picking up the boxes was also kind of weird, it felt like they spun when I didn't want them to. You talked about level design in your post, which I honestly think is fine. It does a good job of introducing mechanics, which is all you can really ask for in a short game jam. The concept is super cool, and could be expanded on a lot if you decided to continue work after the rating period, which I would recommend since it has a lot of potential. Good submission, and good effort!

Thanks for the feedback! The menuing is admitted not fantastic, as it was my first time working with UI that heavily in Godot. Hopefully what lacked in pure fun was made up for at least a bit by a cool idea!

I feel like I am in a mushroom induced fever dream what the hell did I just play??? 5/5.

I'm not quite sure what part of my brain this game itched, but I had a lot of fun with it! If I had to give any feedback ti would be the jumping doesn't feel quite satisfying enough. Maybe make it go a bit higher? Not sure. In any event, great entry, and bonus points for accessibility.

Honestly had a ton more fun than I expected from such a simplistic art style! You really did the most with just a little. The only thing I'd say about gameplay is that I feel there should be more feedback when biting/being bitten, as well as making the former a bit easier.

Very cool to see multiplayer, and a fighting game no less! The big things for me is that the attacks don't really feel different, and there's not a super good reason to not just spam the entire time. With some more playtesting and polish this could be a super solid entry. Nice job.

I think with a bit of UI tweaking this could be a great game. Agreed with the other comment about platforms being difficult to drag. Overall good work!

Thanks so much! We've redone the page to hopefully make it much easier to follow. Good luck in the jam!

Fantastic art, level design, music, AND creativity. Everyone who worked on this should be proud. Maybe make the player move a bit faster?

Agreed. Although idk about polish, I kind of enjoyed the physics jank. As someone who's played a lot of tetris, I recommend tricky towers for "physics tetris."

Graphics and music are great! Awesome presentation all around.

Great concept for a puzzle game, some of them legitimately made me think! The music turns off after a little while, and a clear restart button would be appreciated (didn't think to try R for at least a few levels, could be missing something though). Other than that, good work.

Great start! I love where this movement system is headed, and with a little cleanup it'll feel really good.

Thanks so much! A lot of work went into this, so it means a lot.

Looking for an artist to work with for the jam! Feel free to reach out, my discord is Ketan#2330. I'm probably not gonna win anything, so I'm just looking for someone who has a bit of experience and a lot of passion for the project. I'm also down to join any existing teams as either a composer or programmer.

Awesome idea, really liked the creativity!

Thanks!

Thank you so much! We'll keep the menu feedback in mind for next time.

Thanks so much, we missed by a few minutes because of a submission mix-up. https://legendary-pineapple.itch.io/bounce-buddies

Hey there! I just released the new game I've been working on, called Boss Rush. It's super short, and only has one room of gameplay where you try and take down the enemy, but in my humble opinion it's pretty fun to get the hang of. This is the first game I've made in over a year, so I figured that I'd start with something small and scale up later.  I'd really appreciate it if you could just spend 5 minutes and check it out, and I'll be responding to all comments and feedback that I get. I'm looking to update the game in the near future, so if you want to submit any changes that you think would make it better, now would be the time! Thanks for reading.

Here's a link to the game if you want to play! Boss Rush

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to add something like that in a future update.

Thanks! I'll look into changing the firing backwards thing, so I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I intend to make the player only be able to shoot in front of him in the next update, cause I recognized that it didn't feel right the way it was currently. I'll be sure to play around with screen size though, as that was an area I hadn't really thought about, same with enemy hitboxes. I'm really glad that you enjoyed it, and it'll definitely receive some polish in the coming weeks.

I really appreciate that! It means a lot to know that it had an impact on someone.

Thanks!

Ok, will do! Thank you for checking out the game

Hey! I really liked your game, and thought that it was super fun and interesting. It would really mean a lot to me if you could check my game out and maybe give it a rating! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/724915
