Tysm ^^ It was pretty hard to code. I wanted to have the frog spit Shimmy out after eating them, but I didn't have enough time to do so in a way that didn't create a ton of extra bugs

Thank you ^^ Honestly, programming the shot types was my favourite part of the whole process of making the game. There's something incredibly rewarding about it that I can't put my finger on.
(Also obligatory comment about how you should download the fixed version since the original stage 5 was bugged and didnt work)
While the art and concept is amazing, the enemies lack any real feedback for when they're hit, sometimes pickups just phase through you, and invincibility frames just don't work, leading you to lose all your lives instantly if a big enough bullet hits the bottom middle of the screen as you die. Hope you keep at it though, everything else about the game is good ^^
Amazing game from what I've played, had to stop though since mashing the Z button to swim really hurt my hand ><
Amazing presentation, camera's a bit janky but it's a pixel game so that's to be expected, and great enemy designs ^^
Controler support would be appreciated in an update, as the keyboard ones hurt my hands after a while
(Man I've been forgetting to reply to these-)
I'm so glad you liked it ^^ I admit I did overreact a bit to the bugs in the jam version, in my defense, they added up fast ^^; I'm so glad you liked the levels and I do plan on continuing, even if progress is a bit slow ^^;
(Btw I'm sorry that the final time doesnt display correctly on the jam version, forgot to copypaste the timer display code ^^; It should say 8:47)
RUUKOTO GAME RUUKOTO GAME RUUKOTO GA-
ahem
This game was honestly amazing. Even if the gameplay was more on the basic side, the story was beautiful, and it was an amazing use for the best background Touhou (eat your heart out, Daiyousei)
I had to resist rating 5 stars for the concept alone when I first booted it up, but upon playing it, it's definitely earned said 5 star rating ^^
Tysm! And sorry, I think there may be a bit of a problem I didn't notice on that front, as it happened on stream too... My best guess is to do with failing to reset some kinda variable >< When I get some free time I'm gonna make a patch (when I identify the issue)
Also yeah, I did kinda rush the difficulty balancing at the end of the jam ^^; I think I came up with something servicable enough though ^^
