Love the premise of escaping from hell by climbing up a ladder with obstacles. I think a quicker moving speed would make it more fun and challenging. Maybe it could get progressively faster or have a speed option chosen by the player...? The visuals did a good job of portraying hell in a pixelated environment. The climbing animation is smooth as well. Oh and the height count/score after you die was a nice touch! Would be nice to see some audio if you do anything else with it.

Love the animation and audio! It took a minute to figure out the purpose of moving the stairs - like the end goal/where Slinky was supposed to go, ig - but after understanding, it was VERY fun to try and solve each puzzle. I really enjoyed this, great job.

Thanks for taking the time to try it out!

This was very fun! I feel like the gameplay integrated the theme well by having to continuously go up steps while avoiding hitting the bottom of the screen or falling off. I really like the idea of controlling some of the environment and then interacting with it as a concept in general. And the coins add a strategy aspect to putting down stuff to jump on. Cute character too. It would be cool to see some audio added, or maybe fixing the bugs for the platform-placing you mentioned since I had the same problem as the other commenter. Great job.

Thanks for all the feedback! The sensitivity might have had something to do with that, I didn't get around to polishing it much so I'll try doing that in the next jam as well as figuring out why interact/pressing 'e' was so damn finicky (something with colliders maybe?).

"that feeling of browsing a gas station in the late hours" I like this idea and where it could go visually. Really interested in seeing where you go with this.

Thanks for the feedback!

Sound effects are PERFECTION, it should be played just for that. This was very fun. The cats were unpredictable and presented a challenge - jumpscared me once and went "oh fuck" outloud when more than one cat appeared - but it's not overly difficult. It's a nice balance and the progressively increasing difficulty helps with that, I think. The various messages depending on your score is a cool detail. Genuinely addictive to play and try for the 50 score (still working on getting there). Great work. :)

I like how you implemented the theme in the gameplay. Adding a little story behind it with the factions was a nice touch too. It's fun as well! It might help to add a visual indicator for the tack but otherwise it's very enjoyable, especially the strategy aspect of skipping turns vs. placing a tack and determining the stairs and factions at the start. Loved it, great job.
