Really liked the artistic feel! Great job on snappy character controller. One thing I wish would be different was when you go out of bounds of viewport, it's automatic death. I think for the sake of making the game last longer, maybe change it to just not allowing player to leave viewport?

Other than that, had a fun time playing!

Basically what everyone else said - I really really loved the graphics!

would probably work better on a downloaded version, but the browser made it difficult to steer (i have multiple screens and my mouse kept leaving game. Great start to a game here. The UI looks good

The combat movement was snappy - I really liked that. Was pretty refreshing. Good job!

The controls were very snappy and felt good. Overall, the game felt really good! Great job!

Super relaxing. Wish it coulda been longer, it definitely has a stardew valley vibe. I literally relaxed after a long day of work because of this game. Great job on the vibe!

Awesome take on the theme! Good implementation of a platformer as well!

Loved the dark feel with strategic lighting. Was really fun! Good job!

Yeah it gets a little confusing around the burger/points card/keycard bit. I think its something we could definitely improve upon and make clearer. Thanks for playing!

You have some solid game design here. There is a good balance between going fast and not going too fast. The music fit really well to give it a nice vibe. Great work! This was one of those games that I thought - "It's a top down side scrolling spaceship game.. how hard could it be??" But then I died immediately from the tentacles, so I went back and read the tutorial and was excited to try to beat the tentacles the next time through. Great work on engagement!

Also, fun fact.. We completely forgot (I mean we left it on purpose...) to change the direction of transform animation for the ending button. We moved it from the back wall to the side wall with the windows.

The thing I loved the most about the idea for the time loop was that it meant we could easily scale the game design depending on the amount of time we had in total.

Anyways thanks for playing! No shame in using the walkthrough. I admit that I myself had to use the walkthrough for part of the keycard quest.

I love that you felt it an accomplishment to beat the game without looking at the walkthrough. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the positive feedback! Glad you enjoyed it and were able to make it through!

Yeah we debated posting a walkthrough, but are ultimately glad we did. There were some features that we wanted to tidy up and hone in on that would have given the player more direction in game. (but you know, game jam timeline.. and the beach..)

Thanks for playing and glad you had a good time exploring!

Really glad you enjoyed it! We thought the story loop was a good idea; glad it turned out well

Thanks! We had a great time making it!

Lol - glad you enjoyed. Most of the easter eggs could have been expanded on, but unfortunately (to my knowledge at least) there is no tarantula wandering around. Maybe he should have been in the vents or something. I advocated for rats in the vents, but it didn't make the final cut.

Anyways thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for playing it! We put a lot of effort into it and are proud of the results.

Hey - sorry about that bug! The Web version does indeed have that bug, specifically when you switch to a different resolution (fullscreen/embedded size). The download version does not have the same bug.

Thanks for the giving the game a shot! We're glad you enjoyed it! We definitely had a great time making it!

Hi! Good work - I loved the aesthetic style. I'm all about the dungeon moody style. I like the concept you have with art.

There was one point that I got stuck on some floating stairs. Just past the stairs I fell in a pit (not a death pit) and couldn't jump out. Had to restart.

Good work !

100% agree with Eric in previous comment- I absolutely loved the movement and animation. Felt very snappy and there were times I (happily) died, just because I was mesmerized by my character's animation.

This game was really fun! Simple in theory, but actually pretty complex in practice! Great job!

Hey thanks for taking the time to come over to our game and play! We definitely spent a lot of time with this game and had a good time making it! There are quite a few things we wanted to add to it, but you know.. timed game jams lol. TBH the game idea is a little wild, but that's the fun of it!

Thanks again!

Hey there! Great job! The audio was awesome. The graphics were awesome! I loved the ray casting for the pins. Gave it a great moody pop. Very unique idea! It was a little hard to push space bar 3 times to place a pin, but i loved that it made it inherently more difficult the more pins you placed in the same area, as the more pins there are, the less room you have to maneuver upwards with.

Great job!

Hi there! The look and feel are great! Definitely gave me some zelda vibes. I had some trouble with hitting the slimes, I had to time it just right as I was running past them. I liked the change in color pallet between the red, yellow, and green.

PS, there is a secret tunnel between yellow and green to get to green before you are supposed to be able to.

Great job!

The artwork was awesome! The atmosphere was amazing. I liked the effects on explosion as well. I wasn't sure about the controls, but it was pretty simple to pick up. I like the dash and capture functions being tied together. Great job!

The sound effects were awesome! The bubble popping was especially satisfying. I loved the ambience as well! I wasn't sure how to start, the scrolling tutorial is a little weird and slow, but once you are past it, you forget about it! I wasn't sure how to buy more food, but then that's probably because I didn't see the last part of the tutorial (I was still trying to figure out where the start button was.)

Really fun over all and relaxing! Great job!

Hey there! Thanks so much for reviewing our game! We had a blast making it.

Thanks for pointing out that bug! Yeah, unfortunately the web version has some issues with rendering some UI elements. You can still play it on full screen if you use the downloadable build version.
