Your encouragement means the world to me. I wish you the best as well. How should I reach you if I ever need it though?

Aww, thanks. I really appreciate your review. I agree with you on everything actually. The only problem is that I like to explore different game ideas and aim to make lots of small games, not focus on just one. That's because I actually have a lot of unique ideas and I'd like to try them all. In fact, I actually have two other projects currently mid development. I know that may not be the smartest course of action, but I can't help but try this and try that. Maybe one day I'll go back to this one and make it a full game or make another based on this idea or just reuse the combat mechanics. It's just that I'm also a beginner in game development, so I'd like to get more experience messing about in small projects before I try to make a large-scale project since it'll be difficult with my current experience (one of the projects that is in mid development is actually on hold because it was too ambitious for me). I may try to polish this one after the jam since many of you really liked the idea. Oh, and I'll definitely love to have your opinion on the music for any other games I make because what you said actually made a lot of sense, so I trust your judgement. So, thank you, and I wish you the best as well.

Already followed sprout before you said anything. Now I've followed you too.

Ok, now that I've tried it, this is what I have to say: BEST GAME EVER! I loved it. I absolutely love games with sass and this one was great. Theme art music dialogue all of it was amazing.

On a more critical note, the combat was the only thing that was subpar. At first it was difficult because I didn't seem to do much damage. But once I figured out how to cheese it (cannon then a barrage of sword) it became easy. Too easy and repetitive. Apart from that. Best game in the jam so far for me. I gave it 5/5 and I do not regret taking the time to figure it out so I can finish it.

Keep that sass guys, I love it. Have I ever used a cannon on a pirate ship? No! So I'll just believe this sassy parrot called something the destroyer who apparently has more brains than the crew combined. Lovely!

"to get their gross, ugly human forms back". I haven't even played yet, but I'm already sold.

Casual John Wick reference, cool. One question though, how do you defeat a bullet hell boss with melee attacks? I can't seem to figure that out, so I haven't seen the rest of your game.

I love astronomy so I really liked the star names you threw in there. The only problem is the difficulty. It was way too difficult. But good visual effects and music, I also liked your use of theme.

I appreciate the unique vibes very much. The art, music, even story all goes together well. The only thing that I thought needed improvement was the combat. It was a little lack luster. Otherwise, nice game.

Really nice game. I liked the atmosphere, and the art is unique. The only thing that disappointed me was the game over screen when I lost my sanity. I was hoping for something more unique, like a secret ability. Or maybe just a unique way to lose, like a story thing (you become one of those monsters or something like that). The way it is, it just feels like the HP label was changed to Sanity. Other than that, this game is one of my favorites for this jam. Really good work.

Nice game. I like the vibes. The combat is interesting. The controls were a little difficult for me but I blame that on my inexperience with keyboard gameplay since I usually use a controller. Overall, 4/5. Good work.

Yes, UI definitely needed more work, but the swapping and the enemy ai took a lot of programming to get to this point so I had to compromise somewhere to get this done.  I'm glad you like the concept though. Making it, I didn't know if others would find the concept as fun as I do, so that's nice.

Yeah, I am well aware of most of the stuff you said but considering the time constraint and that I was making it alone, I'm just glad it turned out this good. Thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate it.

I really enjoyed this one. Not too difficult, fun concept, cute style. The last boss really pushes you to use the swap mechanic and it was fun.

The game looks amazing. Only thing that bothers me is that switching cards with the scroll wheel is kinda difficult as I need to look at them to know where I stopped. Switching with the right mouse button would be easier as I could know which card I ended up with by the number of clicks.

The idea is very neat, but I feel like movement could use some improvement. Maybe faster move speed since it kinda feels sluggish.

The first boss? Does it give you any messages? What does it say in the log? And you swapped parts right, because sowilo is meant to be almost useless.

[Edit] Now that I think about it, I forgot to tell players how to swap parts, didn't I? I'll add the instructions later, but for now I'll tell you how. You choose your head (red area), then choose swap, then choose which part you want to exchange from the enemy's parts (blue area). If swapping wasn't the issue, I'll need more information since it's working fine with me.

Thanks. I'm glad you appreciate it.

To those who understand the reference in the last line in the story, you have great taste in games.
