A really neat concept, but severely limited by the number of keys that most keyboards will be able to register at the same time. I'm normally a fan of unique title screens with cool ways to proceed, but I think that hurt you a lot in this game. Seems like most people who tried it can't get past the title screen.

It took me a while to figure out the shift+ctrl mechanic until the first word that used a letter twice came up.

This would be tough for a game jam game, but this game needs to have work done on it's word detection. More than once, I would spell a perfectly valid word, but since it wasn't the exact word the game was looking for, I didn't get points.

Really sorry it error’d on you. I really appreciate that you took the time to try the downloadable version rather than abandoning it when the browser version didn’t work. I’ll admit that I didn’t have time for a proper difficulty curve or progression. Thanks a lot for the review!!

Not sure if I hit the end of the game or just didn't see where to go. I beat the double slime boss and got to a room with a...bomb? Hitting it didn't seem to do anything. And I agree with the other comment about the horizontal line being kinda annoying.

Other than that, this was a blast to play!

Ouch! Sorry about that. Probably hit an infinite loop in the pathfinding or something.

Definitely my favorite from the jam so far. I agree that WASD+Space doesn't really work for a twitchy platformer and the jump physics felt...off somehow. But the quick death-respawn loop made the levels really enjoyable.

That was seriously funny and fun to play.

Really neat take on the typical Asteroids concept. I've never played a game with claymation graphics before. Really captures the cheesiness.

The shark is so cute!

Like others, this crashed my browser. Before that, it was a lot of fun though! I agree with the other comment about the mouse deadzone being too big. Even just hiding the cursor would have made it a little better.

I love it! The only suggestion I have would be to make the player's sword slash hit box a little bigger.

Well that certainly took a turn. Good on you for having the courage to make a game about such a sensitive topic. I didn't really know what was happening in the last scene until the cinematic kicked in. It really expressed how a happy situation can turn into something horrible without the victim realizing right away that something is wrong.

This is amazing!!

Neat concept. The first level was great, the second was cool to look at, but very convoluted. I kept accidentally restarting because I wanted to use E to interact with things. You should definitely split up the releases by OS instead of lumping everything together into one massive download.

I love the sarcastic tone of the ending. Really neat little game.

Yeah, definitely hard to grasp the controls. This feels like it would have been better with controller support, but I can see what you were going for with playing specific notes in sequence, like Kubo did. I looooooooooove the visuals though.

Wasn't sure whether I would win or lose at first. Once I figured out how the game said "Yes, that was the right play," it was much better. I love the visuals.

I decided pretty early on that when the fishing boats successfully kill a decoy shark, they ALL should assume they caught you and leave, just like what happened in the movie. So if all you have is one decoy shark, it doesn't matter if you have 2, 3, or 30 fishing boats after you. If I hadn't stuck to that decision, then what you're saying would have been a much more feasible option. I wish I hadn't done that. Your suggestion sounds like it would have improved the game a lot. Oh well, lesson learned.

Yeah, there is no difficulty ramp up here. The only thing I could have thought of would be to spawn more fishing/hunting boats, but they're so easy to get rid of it didn't seem like it would work.

Heheh. I can definitely see the resemblance between my cartoon beehive and the kong. Most of the explanation of how to play my game is under the play window on the main itch.io page.

Seems like a neat little puzzle game, but I can't figure out what the goal is...

What an ending!

As a fellow gamer-dad, you nailed the feeling of trying to balance your life.

Definitely a cool game. Would have been a little better if we could just hold space to keep shooting. My wrist is tired...

Trippy

A neat little game, but whatever algorithm you're using to place the blocks is occasionally creating solid rows and forcing a game over.
