Looking for some feedback on this early build of the game. We slapped a few levels together and I'd greatly appreciate any criticism or thoughts!
If you're lost for feedback then think about what you did or didn't like about the game and what you think would make it better. We are interested to know what people's thoughts are on the main mechanic.
Thank you

Hey Wolf,
Gave the game a quick try and I wanted to say I really like the art and soundtrack!
The little references to other media were cool too!
There were a few bugs I encountered. One was that text meant to be written in italics would start off with an "<i>" tag and only once the text was finished typing itself out would it then turn into italics. The other bug I didn't understand so well, sometimes I'd be clicking on different character's dialogue options and then their text UI would start to overlap with each other.
If you want any more info don't hesitate to message me.
Best of Luck!
Gave it a try and it seems pretty good.
I think it would make a really great teaching aid for people interested in learning about atoms. The UI is nice and simple which I appreciate.
I had a little look through the PDF it was quite helpful but a little overwhelming at first.
Overall I think it's a pretty neat project and I think you've done a great job man!
Howdy Mikomoares,
I played the game to the point where I had all the upgrades and it was good fun. I like the creative approach taken to try and come up with something juicy and fresh!
I think the main issue for me was the balance. It didn't feel like I really needed to do the minigames past the halfway point because there weren't enough enemies coming in to make me need more defences.
That being said I still like the idea and I can see a lot of room for growth which is great!
Well done!
I gave it a little listen and I really like the idea tbh. I find procedurally generated music pretty cool and that it has a load of potential to be used in games.
It was also working good under the same laptop and browser I mentioned earlier.
My only complaint would be that the UI isn't very responsive. But, that's likely just because it's a quickly made project .
But overall, I think it's a pretty neat achievement.
Hey Faiaz,
I completed the game, and it was really cool! I really liked the art and the fact that the lighting interacted with the enemies. For just starting out you should be very happy with your accomplishment. Seriously good job man!
A few little things I would pick up on is that the time slow felt a little too slow for me. It may be because I'm running it on a different system and if certain parts of the code aren't put in fixedUpdate or multiplied by time.deltaTime, physics can start behaving differently on different devices. Although with time slow this probably isn't the issue. The point that I'm getting at is that the time slow felt a little bit more like it paused the game rather than slowing it down a bit.
Anyway I hope you keep making games because you'll only get better and better at it!
Best of luck!
Nice! It worked well for me. I'm running it on chrome with my a windows 10 laptop and a resolution of 1366x768 and all the UI worked fine. If you want to know the rest of the specs I'm running on I'd be glad to share!
Sound came out perfectly out of tune... As expected :D!
It's a fun little program to play around with.
Good job!
Hey Enreeper,
I gave the game a try, I got near the end of level 3 then failed, I'd keep going but I don't have the time atm.
I'll leave a pros and cons list from what I played which was probably only 15ish minutes worth, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.
Pros | Cons |
The game's art style looks really good! | Personally it felt like a lot of the mechanics were a little slow. (the jump scare when he catches you, stamina regen, walking). This may be just me that feels this way. |
All the polish that goes into the walking and running makes it feel really good and juicy. | I personally didn't find the game very scary. Then again this might just be me alone. |
A lot of the transitions between scenes were cool. |
Overall, In my opinion I think you're a talented developer, there are a lot of good things that came from the game. However, as far as making a third one goes. I'm not sure. I'm not somebody that likes making the same game twice, I like to try out different ideas then move onto something new. If you would like to make a third one then feel free I'm sure it'll be dope. But if I were in your situation, I probably wouldn't.
Once again be sure to take this stuff with a grain of salt.
Keep making games bro!!!
In the devlog above I talk about how the game is aimed towards fans of high intensity fast paced FPS games. Similar titles being 'Titanfall', or 'Get to the orange door'.
The movement in the game is focused around the player trying to build momentum whilst doing parkour tricks and hitting sweet shots.
If anybody is willing to give the game a test I would greatly appreciate that.
You can find the game here.
I will continue to update this post with all the devlogs that will be released.
You can find the game here.
I am greatly appreciative to anybody who is willing to try out the game, any feedback, good or bad is greatly appreciated.
Here are some questions that I would find extra helpful if you could answer.
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback, You've been a great help! I will look into the UI comments you've mentioned and maybe look for an easier to read font.
I was wondering what you thought of the combat, whether there were any mechanics you enjoyed or disliked. What felt right and what felt off, if there is anything you would change or add. I'll take all suggestions into consideration :).
The game gave me a nice bit of nostalgia for the old flash games on armorgames.com and similar sites. I really liked the retro backing track, personally I think it's a vibe. I would recommend adding some more mechanics into the game because at the moment it didn't feel like I was doing much in combat. I know it's just a prototype and I'm sure you'll add in more polish later but its a very crucial part of a game and I feel its important to be mentioned just in case. I think before I can say whether it's fun or not it will probably need some more work done. Hope this was helpful!
Thank you very much for the response! Yes you did get the idea correctly the idea is that the player should dash into the enemies. Due to the bad balancing/poor communication of the game and its idea it probably didn't seem like you were able to do much. I'll look into the stuff that you've mentioned and see what I can do. Thanks again you've been a big help.
(Edit: it occurred to me that on the game's page I chose my words poorly and it made it sound like you simply walk the enemies into the wall instead of dashing into them. I was just checking if you were aware that was the idea. Thanks.)
https://lorellaro.itch.io/fugiunt A small prototype I made that I would greatly appreciate any kind of feedback to. I'm mainly wondering if the idea is any fun. It is playable in browser. Thanks!
