For a first game jam this is quite nice ! Sure the game needs more polish and feedbacks but I can see where you were going with it. I had a bit of trouble with the perspective at first but after a while I got used to it. Maybe you could make the monsters drop upgrades for the player to scale with the difficulty ?

Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the game that much ! The balancing was challenging and I definitely will improve the bots by doing an overhaul of the algorithms ! The softlock part is also something I want to fix by gradualy unlocking the different types of magic through the run like Red > Green > Blue and adding a small common "volume consumed per sip" buff  to all of them each time you level up one!

I wanted to add more mechanics like abilities that you could trigger during the versus but unfortunately I had to cut them to focus more on the graphics of the game. I knew that would take the most amount of time because I never produced pixel art before.

Nice little game ! The game has some potential, especially in the "planning" phase if you plan to combine interesting level designs and more piece transformations like rotation. Good job !

Cool game ! Really frustrating at times but I guess you took inspiration from Jump King. Overall quite good !

Good job!  I dig the aesthetic of your game. The balance mechanic is interesting and forces you to explore the map so you can't camp a weapon.
