I had a ball with this game. It really made me sit and stay in my seat while playing it. There are a few ruff edges, but nothing that can't be fixed with some post jam pawlish.

I loved it. It's definitely the best survivor game I've played in the Jam. I especially loved the art and animations of the different aliens.

The only complaint I can make is that the progression is a bit too slow. For a Jam sized game I want to be unlocking new content and characters almost every run, because I want to see everything you worked on.

Oh and the 'Story' option was off by default so I almost missed the thrilling intro cutscene.

P.S. You should make a web version if you can. It's the main reason you have so few ratings/comments on such a well made game.

Thanks for playing!

I'm definitely adding a tutorial or a 'How to Play' screen if I revisit this game post jam.

This is a cool game. I liked how untangling the blocks from the house paired with neatly stacking them in the truck. I saw below you wanted to add a timer and a score system, but you can go without one and still have a good casual puzzle game.

Besides tile rotation and faster scrolling, I would add somekind of mini-map showing the current state of the truck/house. Otherwise the player is forced to move 2-3 screen lengths just to double check which piece they need to grab next.

That all said, my favourite part is the clicking noise when you move, which is saying alot because the rest of the game is pretty good.

I love the idea of a KSP gameboy game.

As others have mentioned the game is currently staying too long on the flying screen once it reached the top height. I wanted to play more of your game but I just had to give up after a certain point.

With a bit more post Jam work you would have a fun little game here.

Cool game!

I did find the swarm of asteroids a bit overwhelming, especially when you throw in protecting the colony ships. After a few attempts I think I only managed to save one ship, but killed 2-3 by my own actions.

Great work on the sound as well. The effects were all great, and I obviously loved the music.

Thanks for playing!

Your reservations are spot on. I had a lot more planned, but ran out of time.

Technically there is a difference in the physics for each planet type, but I barely had a chance to implement it, let alone test/balance it properly.

I also wanted to include a screen where you could review the planets you caught and their stats, but I had to cut it to make the deadline.

Hurrah for the first game!

I know you downplayed the art, but the cow sprites are adorable.

One mechanic you could try is the cows getting fatter from eating the grass, and therefore being worth more points when you abduct them. That adds a bit of risk/reward to the game as players would avoid catching the cows as quickly as possible.

BTW, I used Godot and had the same screen size issue when exporting to web. Changing 'Canvas Resize Policy' to 'Adaptive' under the HTML export settings fixed it for me

This was great. The gameplay reminded me of a toned down GB version of Nuclear Throne.  I also really liked how you replay the levels carrying the crystal, and swapping the pallette between planets was a great use of the 4 color limit.

My only complaint is the lack of music. This game was too good to not have any, and you really notice the silence while hunting down the last alien in a stage.

But besides that this seems like a decent game that needed a bit more time to polish.

Unfortunately there is a bug with the rocket movement that sometimes causes it to keep flying when I change direction, which meant I just couldn't get further than the first NW facing corridor.

The whole team did a fantastic job with the platformer side of the game. But the defrag mechanics are either poorly explain or broken. I couldn't get past the first stage because of it.
