Throwing my hat into the ring, I have bought Shovel Knight more times than I'd like to admit. That game has a bunch of version exclusive features, people who bought the PC version won't get to play around with stuff like the amiibo custom knight & crossover bosses that the console versions have. Sure, this is a little different since both versions of this game are on PC, but this is kind of why I'm not disappointed with this decision. Not to mention, Shovel knight is a $40 game at this point that offers a lot less between versions, I bought a bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup at the store today, and it cost more than what I've collectively paid for both versions of this game.

All of that said, I do think the Itch.io version should be outright delisted or covered with disclaimers and links to the steam page once the multiplayer update comes out. That is a big exciting feature that will get people flocking to this game, make sure they don't get the wrong version.

XD Yeah. 'LD' is based off a certain internet person who made a few classic internet songs, and 'Neo Egg' is just the first thing that popped into my head for a futuristic sign for some reason.

Anyway, yeah, I could probably remove a few enemies here and there, especially for the easier difficulties (Which I tested the game on because I suck at games like this, despite just making one). Thank you for the feedback and the kind words!

Ah, okay, makes sense. Thank you for elaborating, I'll tone it down if I ever continue work on this or do something similar.

Thank you for the feedback. Did the backgrounds distract you/make things blend in, or were you mostly not a fan of them?

Fun Game, I like the arcade-esque touches like the High Score table. Graphics and music are very appealing, and the game is overall fun to play.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining

Wow, love the gameplay and unlocks. The visuals are a bit off, I feel like it would have fit both the theme and the lazer tag idea better if the walls were a lot more colorful, or outlined with neon lights or something. However, the art assets all mesh together well, and it looks pleasant overall. Great game!

Fun game! I don't think I've ever seen a game like this have level design and ideas that are this good! great job! Although, I have to say that I don't think it fits the neon theme that well. The game has a cool aesthetic, but, doesn't strike me as neon.

Neat game, the visuals were cool, especially with the filters and effects. I found the double jump to be a little inconsistent to use, and I wasn't really sure when I could use it. The music was good, and enhanced the experience, and the level design was pretty good.

One of those games that makes you feel really cool while playing it. The visuals are a treat to look at, the character design is great, and the music is pretty jammin. My main issue with it is your lack of view in a lot of cases. I appreciate the arrow that tells you where to go, but, I feel like the level design either needed to be condensed a bit, or the camera needed to be zoomed out. Also, I had a couple issues with using X to dash while controlling with WASD, having Shift as an option would've felt a lot better. Either way, a very fun game, with a lot of cool ideas and visuals.

Very fun game, The Visuals are really good, especially the sprites of the main character, and the sound design was good as well, Gave the game a really cool feel.

Fun Game! The visuals are really good, I love the details like the hearts in the UI flickering, the sound design is really good, And I found the gameplay quite fun.

Thank you very much, Glad you found it fun.

Thanks for the feedback, Very glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for the feedback! I actually began on this before I found out about the game jam, and I originally intended to make basically everything unlockable, and have multiple teirs of customization. Of course, this was simplified for the game jam.

As far as everything else, yeah, I'll be the first to admit I'm not the greatest artist out there, haha. And the enemy stuff was intended, I tried to put thought into the enemy placement so it felt fair, challenging, and engaging.

All in all, thanks again for the feedback, and I'm glad you had some fun with it.
