Gosh Polly is on a short fuse huh? Great visual novel, I really liked the text effects. I liked how to fix the relationship, that was cute. Fab entry!

I'm still looking for visual novels / narrative-driven games to play!

This is really polished! I took a while to understand what was going on, but I persisted and ended up really enjoying it. Definitely scratches that deck building itch. Great entry to the jam!

This is so silly and fun! I really enjoyed managing my factory, haha. Great amount of polish and I love the art style here. (Impressive burp!)

This looks so pretty and gentle! I found the controls a bit unresponsive, but the overall experience was compelling enough that I kept retrying 😊 the spikes right at the start could be higher contrast against the background, I thought it was a narrative thing that I kept dying over and over, hah.

Nice to see another visual novel in the jam! I like how you chose to display the portraits, that was a nice touch, and the dialogue system works well.

Hahahaha this is so good, I hated Will so much (RIP tho). I loved the intro clips, you really nailed the vibe. Great polish on this one, and a super original take on the theme!

This spirals out of control so quickly! A really polished entry, well done. I liked the feeling of panic that sets in.

This is a great idea! The puzzle was a little hard for me to solve (I didn't manage it) and I sort of wanted to see what would happen if things did go wrong, though I appreciate that would be hard to code in. I also wish I knew what happened in the end! Great  palette choice too.

That was a great experience! I like the dialogue smoothness and the presented options. I played through twice but didn't manage to get to the end as it got too difficult for me 😅😅 but I was really wanting to! Nothing can go wrong indeed...

Gorgeous hand-drawn art style.

Thanks so much for commenting! I've played and rated your game over on the page. Love the hand drawn art style!

Thanks for playing! Yes, every choice you make sets you down a different branch of the narrative 😄

Nice choice for art, it really fits the vibe you're going for! I'd definitely be interested in more of this. My fave was the Viking, I kept dying...!

Now I know I definitely shouldn't be trusted with nuclear power, hah. I like the polish on this, and appreciated that you could turn the alarm off! I think a radio-esque music system would be neat here, as if the operator is listening to music while they work.

I kind of wanted to see the power plant explode 😈😈

A stunning submission. I love your palette choice, the beautiful animations, the smoothness of the platforming elements and the music. This is honestly a polished and gorgeous entry! I loved the theming too, more games should have flowers 🌸🌸

If I had any feedback, I'd say that the dialogue could have a little "next" indicator when it's finished and ready to move onto the next screen. I think you could animate something really gorgeous for it!

A stunning experience - loved how you used parallax to get a sense of distance and movement with the backgrounds and river. I really want to know how you made the reflection look so good, hah. Gorgeous calming music, I really felt like I took a break here. ⛺🎸⛰

I'm impressed with the aesthetic of this! I like the pre-planning stage of the game too.

Oh yeah, that was awesome! I've rated and left a comment over on the page!

An extremely polished entry, I really liked your attention to detail on things like:

  • scene transitions
  • mouse sensitivity options
  • dialogue skip
  • dialogue box pop-in

The sound design and colour choices are also really solid. Also, thanks for no jumpscares!

I really did! I rated and left a comment over on the page. Great entry!

That was a hugely entertaining game! I think my favourite ending was 4. Oops...! Echoing what others have said, I think there should be an option to speed up or skip the text animation, especially as some lines of dialogue are quite long. Great entry, it was super funny.

I had a lot of fun with this! The music is inspired by the track 'Cloud Country' from Stardew Valley, right? I recognised it! Great remix.

Loved this! It was really satisfying to break stuff. The incompetech stuff is so good isn't it? You picked a great track. The cat sprite was really nicely animated too.

Love the idea, I tested the moving / not moving for quite a while and it's solid! The pigeons are fun.

This is so cute! There's a really strong art style here. My neighbour has a shiba inu called Mochi so this is a highly relatable game, lol. I'd love to see more levels, and more hats!

I've rated and commented over on the page! Thanks for sharing your game 😊

Loved the meta-ness of this, there's always something fun about jam games that play on the event itself. I personally can't handle jumpscares so I had to stop playing, but it's got great ambiance and polish! I can see how horror fans would like this a lot. Fantastic entry, well done team!

For other feedback, I'd maybe add a text advance option on the intro, as the text stays for a long time before moving on.

It's so difficult to get these things right, I absolutely get you - it's totally personal preference a lot of the time anyway. Once again - great work!

That was moving and emotional, and I think could really strike a chord with a lot of people! I absolutely felt the mounting dread of not being able to keep up. Excellent effort!

I think the only feedback I could give would be to tweak the volume levels a little, I'd want the sound effects less harsh and the music more standout (I could hardly hear it) but that's really all. Loved this!

Wow, what a moving entry! I've commented and rated over on the page 😭

This is a really fun idea! I really struggled to hear / understand the narrator; I think captions are almost an essential feature of any narrative sim. I feel like I missed out on a lot of what makes the game great because I was trying to parse what the (excellent) voice over was saying. I liked the underwater floor the best 👍 great entry!

Thanks for replying! I've played and left a comment/rated over on the page 😊

I've played and rated over on the page - what an excellent entry! Fab work.

A seriously excellent VN - I love all the work put into making it seem ominous, like the post processing on the memory segment and the way the title screen appears. I liked how obvious it was which things had possible interactions, I've played a few other games in the jam that forget that part, so you spend a lot of time clicking around in confusion!

Great twist at the end too. Really enjoyed this!

Haha, for sure! By the way, you can add the rest of the team as co-creators on the game through the itch dashboard - that way your comments will show up as being from the dev :)

Great, I'm super keen to play it again - once again a fantastic effort for your first jam! 🍸

Well, it's not a genre for everyone! Thanks for playing :]

There are a LOT of dependency-based flowcharts, ha 🫣

I totally get you, our game was dialogue intensive and it's really tricky to wrangle those kinds of systems on top of other mechanics. I spent like a full day on it 🤣

I think the game has potential, the camera controls are quirky but I like them!

Would you say this is a narrative game?
