Excellent news, welcome back!

- Alcohol is bought from the second vendor in the grocery store.

- You can only mop the floor after you have developed the skill "tireless work" and you can only do it after sweeping...

Itch doesn't have private messages, and I don't think I can show the link here, but it's on my game page.

the server is now available... ^^

that's the other problem, the site doesn't save the login, to see the adult content you have to log in again, and many people don't do that.

Ok, guys, here's my feedback.

(This is not a complaint, I am saying this to help you)

I am one of the highest point scorers on indie wall (650 at the moment).

But the site only gave me one visit.

I think the developers would be more motivated if they saw more visits, and you could do that by promoting the site more to people, I recommend you do it on reddit.

As you say, I will offer the base game as a demo.

And yes, the idea is that those who paid for the base game will have the expansion.

You're right, I should give a preview of what I have planned for the expansion, I'll work on that.

Hi, I have a question.

I just announced that the expansion for my game is coming.

When that happens, the expansion will be the paid content and the base game will be free, which seems like a fair deal to me, as I understand that those who bought the game now will have the expansion later.

My question is, if the base game is complete and free, but the expansion is in development, how should I present the game?

Is it complete or in development?

Yes, and also planning thinking that things can be good, fast or cheap, you can have two out of three, but it is very difficult to get all three together.

For example, if it's good and cheap, it's not fast.

"A lot of actors come to the big city and say, “I’m going to try my luck for a year, see if I can make it,” and I say, “I can save you a year of your time,” because then this isn’t for you, this takes a lifetime.

I started in 1979 doing extra work… and one time someone said to me, “Do you want to audition? Come in and do it right now,” and you have to be prepared.

I was a working actor, doing well, paying my bills, living a middle-class life, and then I got lucky when I was 40 and got a part in “Malcolm in the Middle,” and when I was 50, I got even luckier when I got the part of Walter White in "Breaking Bad."

Everything came when it was supposed to, and that’s the interesting thing about luck - it doesn’t fit your plans, it has its own plans."

e-mail, I made an e-mail espacially for that...

And I have a beta tester, just one...

I usually make promotion on reddit, do you know any good sub-reddit to looking for volunteers?

Right now I have two ways, on the itch page, and by mail (for those looking for something more private), and so far both ways are total silence, although the mail was added recently.

I recently had a huge bug in the demo, it was there for months and no one told me about it.

The only upside is that I need feedback for bug reports.

Greetings, I don't have a discord server, do you think I should?

I don't have it for two reasons:

1.- my community is very quiet, no one publicly assumes to play my game (NSFW).

So I assume that discord would be empty all the time.

2.- I am afraid to take the risks.

My game has good intentions, but it's still ideologically sensitive, I'm afraid to expose myself to people who don't like it, and probably moderating the server could be a problem.

(the game does not encourage anything bad, but I understand that people who have not played it enough might misinterpret it).

In my game you can choose between 3 Classes and there is one that is like that, I can't guarantee that it will be to your liking, but there it is...

The strongest content can be ignored and it will not affect your progress...

PD: as I see that it fits quite well with what you are looking for (a lengthy rpg) I invite you to try the demo, and if you really like the game I can give you a key, just write me to 4.melinda.lovers@gmail.com

(let me know in this thread after you send the mail)

that's great!
do you accept nsfw content?

Let's be honest, the game already has more than 1,000 downloads, but its audience is still silent, it's obvious that not many people admit publicly that they play Melinda's Life, so I decided to create a mailbox for you to send me suggestions and bug reports privately.

Just send an email to: 4.melinda.lovers@gmail.com

I think it is generally easy to give the game a rhythm in the first levels, the real problem comes later, in the more advanced levels...
It is something difficult to test for the creator of the game, since you have done everything, you will not feel it in the same way as the player...

When I play my own game, I don't last more than 30 minutes, but because nothing surprises me...

thanks! ^^

Despite being an rpg, the format of my game is similar to a graphic novel, so in my case it is a matter of adding content, the question is how to know at what point content is missing?

Rhythm is fundamental in video games, it is what keeps the player's attention and prevents them from leaving the game.
I asked my beta tester to play a game at his pace and tell me when he gets bored, what else do you recommend me to do?
(I think my game has serious rhythm problems)

Greetings, before that a control screen will appear, it says that text images can be skipped with the 'S' key... did you try with that?

Yes, I know that...

The question is what is more effective, using that technique or trying to have a closer relationship with the buyer?

That is the idea of the topic.

(1 edit)

why?

I mean... Has anyone used both techniques and seen the difference?

I've been thinking about this topic for a long time, and I hope it will be a healthy discussion, I don't want it to become too politicized...

I have seen on the platform that some people use it and others do not.

(I'm referring to the old 9.99 trick).

Personally, I have always thought that not using it increases the buyer's trust, since you are not trying to trick their subconscious, and that makes at least the more "awake" buyers trust you more.

But on the other hand, my friends insist that I should use it....

What do you think?

I would like to hear from both buyers and sellers...

(1 edit)

I'm just asking out of curiosity...

I can't imagine why anyone would want to download a game more than once...

Any idea?

I don't understand why you have doubts, the quality of the trailer is very good, and in the itch page too, maybe I would use a little less opaque colors, but it's still very good.
I am also very supportive of your intention to educate people, you could seek support from educational institutions...

Greetings, I've been working on this game for 6 months (I haven't thought about anything else during all that time) and although the people to whom I have personally shown the game have really liked it, I feel that the response on the web is quite the opposite, sales have not gone as I expected, and I have received just little feedback, since the community is almost totally silent.

I would like to know what I should improve...

I've been thinking about lowering the price, but I'm not sure if the problem is the game, or the way I promote it.

The only thing that is clear to me is that I'm not one of those people who give up easily, especially with something that took so much work.

Greetings, in the “get feedback” category, can I get feedback if my content is nsfw?

I just want to be sure to respect the rules...

One question, if it's not too much trouble, is it possible to ask for feedback for nsfw content in the “get feedback” category?

Greetings, I'm looking for English speaking people (preferably American English), since it's not my first language and in my game I want to get out of the robotic English that the course and the translator taught me, it would be like a volunteer beta testing job, but only focused on the language (although if you want to contribute to the game is also welcome).

In short, I want the English of my game to look more natural, I just want to make one update focused on the language, and obviously as it is a nsfw game must be all adults.
