Thanks! I originally was going to use scratch for the project, just like last time, but i asked my team and they said to use gms2 instead. Even if i didn't know much about gml I really didn't wanna use tutorials cuz i wanted the code to actually be made by me in the time given(also last year before gmtk i tried using tutorials to learn the basics but all of them were before an update that changed how gml works, breaking the code in all of them). Even if it's a bit broken and there's a ton of things i could do differently, I'm just happy that it works and i was able to do the code on my own

Really nice game but just realized the game kinda plays out like baldi's basics.
With the antagonist(Baldi/Meatos) faking like a friend and nice guy, passing you really easy tests with the 2nd one ending with an impossible note from which the antagonist starts chasing you and getting faster for every mistake. At the end, they congratulate you before threatening you and chasing you back to where you came in full force.(Also meatos doesn't have petals- unless you consider the bowtie - and would that be considered bald- which is the entire idea of bald i )
But even then, it has a great artstyle, music and gameplay, forming an great game.Pretty short tho. Maybe you could make it longer? or make a chapter 2 with another antagonist?
Here's a respective response to each thing(also I'm sorry 'bout my spelling, not my native language...):
- I completely forgot about WASD
- The jump WAS floaty, but it's because I couldn't keep the player in the air for the correct amount of time; Either too floaty or the character would just go up and immediately downwards...
- Getting the pushing collision to work was just luck, I didn't know how to do it correctly and took way more time than expected to program everything involving the box
- Completely forgot about sounds, but even if I remembered I'd still be confused as I never composed music nor sound effects...
Also just realized the contros are laggy/unresponsive 'cause I programmed the collision separate from the animation in two different objects("sprites") so that's what happened!About the jump dunno what happened but it happened to me as well when playtesting but I couldn't find what caused it so.....
