It delights me how much thought and care you've put into this. Reading your description at the bottom really helped me connect with each piece all the more - a level of composition I deeply respect and aspire to one day exhibit myself. 'Queen Bubblene Blast!' is probably my favourite. Using non-traditional percussion really gives it all a very tropical feel, which actually reminds me of the Destiny Island theme from Kingdom Hearts. Thanks so much for making and sharing this! Not in a position to watch the animation, but will do so once I'm home!

Hmm, interesting... what do you mean by 'empty'? Were there certain parts in particular where that struck you? I know that's why I added synth at the beginning, because the piano sounded like it was echoing into a void. I'd love to hear more of your thoughts! Thanks so much for the feedback :)

I love how very, very simple this piece is. Truly goes to show just how much emotion one can convey, simply with a piano melody and strings. Beautiful!

'Owl Encounter' is my absolute favourite of the three.  The tremolo on the strings creates the perfect sense of dread, and then turning the whole tone of the composition around in such an abrupt way totally works.

'By the windows' just *sounds* like a title theme, I can see the menu and everything in my head.

I really like the synth in 'Monster Machine', it adds such a sense of tension and urgency, total boss battle vibes.

Really not a bad thing to say about any of these, *this* is the level of composition and mixing I aspire to.

Thank you! For the synth, especially, I was having trouble with mixing that; which may just be down to my lack of technical knowledge ( re compression ). Thanks for pointing out the glitchy bit - I wasn't sure how to deal with that effectively tbh. Which, again, could be just lack of experience with the DAW VSTs. I'm glad you liked it, tysm for taking the time 😊

Hmmm ok, yeah that makes sense. I think, specifically in the vocal section at the end, I wanted a straight call-back to the piano melody. But in hindsight, I agree, I think it would have been a good opportunity to expand on it. And maybe make it more prominent in the work as a whole? Thank you! I'll definitely remember this for my next composition :)

Woooow, this is GREAT. Yeah I very much get the Half Life feel, as Autumn Spooks mentioned. It actually reminds me of the soundtrack for the remake, Black Mesa, composed by Joel Nielsen; similar vibe for sure.

I think one of my main points of feedback would be it's the drums (particularly the snare ) sound very forward in the mix. I think maybe bringing them back at bit - e.g compressing the attack on the snare - to let some other instruments breathe might work? Particularly from 4:30 onward where there's some beautiful post-rock guitar.

Otherwise I loved it! That short piano motif throughout really anchors the piece :-D I totally get the space-like feel, would be entirely out of place in a game like Destiny.

Great job!!

I ADORE the choral vocals on 'Beyond the Boundary', perfect for a main theme, they had me hooked instantly.  Personally I think it could have ended stronger though, it felt to me as it fizzled. Otherwise, a truly lovely composition

The bossa/jazz feel on 'Nirvana Inn' is... it soothes my soul, truly. The flute is so transportative. I wanted to hear more piano though!

Agree with @grasstypefire about 'Deep Dive', it would've nice to hear more energy and movement.

'From the Heart' brought me straight to back to Final Fantasy and I love it for that.

This set of tracks was wonderful to listen to, thanks for making them <3

Thanks for the feedback! <3 Yeah I get what you mean about the synth, I think that section in particular I had trouble mixing so it sounded cohesive; originally I compressed it down but then I had trouble getting the levels right when mastering. So it was a big learning experience, in terms of like, how much I still have to learn :-P

Ahhh thank you so much!! I'm so glad you like it <3
