Description
I used Ableton Live. I think the genre turned out to be post-rock, for sure. The game I was thinking of is a space exploration style game where you embark on a journey into the endless horizon in search of the unknown and definitely amazing visuals and landscapes, where you don't necessarily find answers, though certainly a lot of questions. I made only one main theme because I had never made a soundtrack before and I thought one main theme would be fine for a first attempt (my second gamejam), but I think it represents the journey in this game. Each section as new instruments and details come in, represents the journey that each time more and more challenges and unexpected things are presented, but in the end everything flows, you manage to figure it out and find your way, always, like life itself.

Message from the artist
This is my second gamejam. I appreciate any kind of feedback. Whatever is worth saying, I want to hear it. I'm very curious about what those who hear my theme might think. Seriously, anything (constructive), I'd like to know.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
The theme fits with the main theme because it represents the main character's journey, and this journey he lives is his world.

Love the syncopated synth, added a lot of character to the whole track. Nice job!

Some parts reminded me of Don't push the button which is cool!

This was really incredible the whole way thru, I liked how kept bringing that piano idea back to center us while developing the rest of the song around it in a way that didn't make it feel boring or too repetitive. The guitar was incredibly well incorporated as well! I felt like despite the intensity of the middle section I was just floating away, in awe of all the cool things I was seeing. Well done!!!

Heh... I love long compositions!

Very nice spacey vibe and.... It's kinda like Black Mesa in some ways, and that's really cool! The synthesizers are a joy)

The transition at 4:10 is cool

The increased dynamics at 4:28 - very motivating to go walk on Mars.

The only thing I can suggest is to improve the overall mixing of the track. Try to give the guitar more space in the sound to make it sound more expressive.
Anyway - nice work)

Woooow, this is GREAT. Yeah I very much get the Half Life feel, as Autumn Spooks mentioned. It actually reminds me of the soundtrack for the remake, Black Mesa, composed by Joel Nielsen; similar vibe for sure.

I think one of my main points of feedback would be it's the drums (particularly the snare ) sound very forward in the mix. I think maybe bringing them back at bit - e.g compressing the attack on the snare - to let some other instruments breathe might work? Particularly from 4:30 onward where there's some beautiful post-rock guitar.

Otherwise I loved it! That short piano motif throughout really anchors the piece :-D I totally get the space-like feel, would be entirely out of place in a game like Destiny.

Great job!!

Really cool track, had a good time listening to it ! Really good fit for space exploration. Maybe a small thing is, I think minimalist long pieces really need to evolve slowly but constantly, and it felt like sometime the music was looping, but really neatpicking here ! Good job !

i think this is one of the best submissions i have heard so far. the mixing on everything is nicely done, it absolutely fits a space exploration game. genuinely, you've done a good job. i really liked the parts at 4:10, it and every other part of the song for that matter remind me of something you'd hear in half life.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it so much. I wish I had done a couple more tracks and not just a main theme, but I couldn't make good use of the time that was available, although I think it could have been a bit longer, and I didn't really want to make a submission with other tracks half done or not up to a minimum quality point, so it turned out to be just this main track. Still I plan to extend it or do a couple more tracks and make an album, definitely.

Okay... this is going in my playlist. It's amazing.  I love the guitar elements. If I had to citique it, i would have to say, that for one, I think the drums overshadow the rest, especially when they first come in. Also while I love the part with the guitars, I would definately addede one more to the mix as a lead (maybe just a distorted guitar playing high A, G and B) . I felt as if the guitar part lacked a drop, and just kept on building momentum until the end.  Overall though I think it's amazng, the vibe, the instruments, it definately goes hard.

Thank you very much for the feedback and honesty. I will keep it in mind because I plan to extend it or directly make a complete album starting with this theme. And surely upload it to streaming services so you can listen to it whenever you want :D. I'm glad it wowed you because that's partly what I like to make the listener feel or think. I just like to make amazing tracks. I'll go check out your submission and rate it too.
