My favorite genre of anime is probably “slice of life” and this nails that vibe so perfectly. I know this is in a “rough” state, but the dialogue was fun to read, I enjoyed the fishing style you went for, and the pixel art really sets the right tone. Hold tightly onto this project and keep pushing forward because you’ve got something truly special here. Really enjoyed this one!

Sounds good! Here's my game! Sunshine and Moonlight by ModernRetro (itch.io)
Yeah, I thought about having the controls be on different keys, but kind of kept them spread out for the thought of two people pressing a key on the same keyboard simultaneously. Also, wanted that combo to work on an actual Gameboy Color/Advanced. Something a bit pointless honestly, but I had a little reasoning there. 😂 Anyways thanks for playing and I appreciate the feedback!
I am going to be honest. I like the concept of the first area when you're going down the creepy and surreal feeling halls as a kid. I think the halls were just a bit tedious because of how long they were. However, after that point, the rest of the game was a joy. It picked up a lot and it really came together as a full package. I really did enjoy this and seeing the growth and with how things change. Super cool. Really great work for being on such a time crunch. You guys did really well!
Thanks for the comment! Honestly, was thinking of breaking this game up into a set list of a bunch of songs/levels. I want to try to do multiple rhythm games/themes for each set of levels. It’s basic right now but there’s a lot I could expand on from here. But, you’re right. Clicking on beat is where the satisfaction of a rhythm game comes from.
Love this Tileset! Here’s a demo of the puzzle game I’m working on that uses it! Wayfarer Boo: Pushing Through ( DEMO )
