Hey! That’s so cool, I hope you have a lovely time together ☺️

When I eventually do a reprint of Koriko, I plan to do a limited run of ‘upgrade kits’ for those with books. Probably won’t be for a while, make sure you’re signed up to my newsletter!

That’s a really good idea! I’ll stick it on the list for v2 :)

You don’t! Make sure you’re signed in. It’s a free update.

Drop me an email if you can’t figure it out!

If you’re playing digitally, you can use the link provided with the game’s files to access a virtual tabletop. Otherwise, you’ll need cards to match each of the Moments (4 sets of 14 cards) and another set of cards numbered 0 to 21. All of these should be able to be shuffled together, with the same backs. Hope that helps!

Not yet! This is the first one that has made it through :) Good idea though!

Hey! Looks like a little edge case to me. Usually when you add an extra card to your volume deck, you also draw one extra card that volume (to make sure you get a chance to draw it!). That said, it is an optional thing to add the confidant card to your volume deck, so you could just choose not to in this situation.

cheers! J

Hello! That’s really lovely, we’ll have US distribution for the game very soon. If you subscribe to my newsletter I’ll send one out when they’re available.

haha this goes into a small-but-significant bucket of comments that make my stomach drop when I scan over the first couple of lines but actually turn out nice 😂 glad to hear you’re having a good time!

thank you! yes you maintain your dice tower between seasons and play sessions, only starting over with it if it falls over during stacking :)

I hope you enjoy it! 😊

Not any time soon! The book version has just been printed, so no current plans for any other print runs :)

Hey Tim! Shouldn’t be too much longer, follow my newsletter if you’d like updates :)

Unfortunately not!

Hope they let a bit of light into your life mate 💜

Thank you for sharing! I look forward to watching :)

That’s not really what community copies are for, but if you drop me an email to jack at mousehole dot press I can sort you out with a key :)

I’m setting up a digital tabletop using screentop which will be freely available to you all soon :)

I’ve been testing it loads and it’s really fun! It just takes a little while to coordinate testing… and I kinda wrote a whole other game you all play together to kick things off 😅

Hey! Yes you should, drop me an email to jack at mousehole dot press and I’ll sort it out :)

Yeah! They’re being printed right now :)

Follow my newsletter for updates.

Thanks for your lovely comment, and I’m very happy to hear my work has inspired your own creativity! :)

Should be this year! Take a look at the top of this page :)

Hello! Glad you’re having a good time. You’ll write a new lesson any time you successfully stack dice as part of a risky action.

Other than that, you’ll write one any time you’re explicitly asked to, such as the end of each Volume, as part of some bonus actions and as part of a dice tower collapse result. In these instances it’ll always say ‘write a new lesson’.

Hope that helps! J

Hello! Thank you so much for the lovely feedback :)

The idea with the Confidant page is that you have somewhere to record their details (name, appearance etc) when you create them. You might also add additional notes and flair (drawings etc) to the page as you go. If you’re finding you need the space, you could probably compress all your confidants down into a single spread.

This is an excellent series of posts and I hope you continue! :)

Niiiice! Love the little Metroid ship too :)

Thanks for your lovely feedback! This is a typo, Lessons used to be called Experiences :) it’s on the list for fixes when I (finally) update the digital files!

Hey! There’s no guide that I know of, but you could search for some binding techniques and find a nice one that you could hand-stitch?

I’m not sure I ever added this file! I can add it to the downloads when I’m back at work after Christmas :)

Thank you for your kind words!

We’re very likely to have some excess book-only stock after the Kickstarter is fulfilled, as we’ve got plenty of extra copies to ensure everyone gets their rewards. Sign up for the mailing list at Deernicorn, they’re going to be stocking the game once it’s launched :)

(that being said, the custom cards do make the game a lot quicker & more fun to play imo!)

Hello! Yeah normally that’s what it means :) some of the twist grid bonuses let you add and draw extra cards, which is why I didn’t give a specific number there :)

So glad you’re having a good time with it :)

At the end of any volume, the only cards that go back are confidants that you’ve met already (those that are in your ‘circle’). Moments (minor arcana) from your volume deck are discarded, whether you drew them or not. Any confidants (major arcana) you didn’t draw and have never met are also discarded. Hope that helps!

This is great! Thanks for using my work to support a good cause :)

It is possible, but I’m soon going to release a custom version on a website called Screentop which will make digital play a lot easier!

This really made my day to read, thank you so much for sharing <3

It depends how many lessons you’ve got in the skill you chose to use :)

From page 51, Dice Stacking:

Take a number of dice, according to the skill chosen and the number of lessons beneath it:

  • Stack three dice if you have fewer than three lessons under a skill.
  • Stack two dice if you have three, four or five lessons under a skill.
  • Stack just one die if you have six or more lessons under a skill.

Hello! You won’t have met any confidants at the start of Arrival, so there are none to add. However, because you placed a confidant on the top of each suit deck during setup, you’re guaranteed to draw 3-4 confidant cards as you draw cards in the volume. Hence, by the end of the volume, you will have met some!

Hello! Good question, here’s a passage from page 49 😊

If you have cards left in your volume deck at the end of a volume, return any confidant cards that you’ve previously met to your circle. Discard any other remaining cards, including confidant cards you haven’t met.

Hope that helps! J

That’s fair! I’ll update the page with the required materials :)

You’ll need at least 21 regular dice to fully experience the game, depending on how well you can stack them 😉

Hello! That’s rad, I’m so happy to see the game used for a good cause. Sorry I missed your stream announcement, I’m on my own with the kids this weekend so it’s been a bit full-on 😅 looking forward to watching the video!
