Love forcing the player to turn off their light in order to see where they need to go! Really enjoyed the visuals and good idea on making the monsters eyes look like the biofuel. Great game!

Sound design was fantastic! Really liked how you would emit sounds above the ceilings or behind walls, added to the creepy atmosphere.  The congratulations screen at the end of the game startled me in the best way lol

Thanks for letting me know and sorry you ran into that issue! I'll see if I can fix that post game jam.

You could perhaps try fullscreen, but I'm not sure if that will fix it.

Thanks for giving the game a try!

This is what I ended up making! https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2024/rate/3055178

The more I played the game the more I liked it!! Well done

10/10 no notes. The team involved is clearly incredibly talented, would love to see you all put up a behind the scenes on how you collaborate in such a short period of time

Favorite one I've rated. The concept and execution is great, keep it up!

I LOVE this game!!! The "aha!" moment with it is amazing and everything just feels good. Way to go and hope everyone involved keeps it up!

Super fun take on the theme! Reminds me of some old funny flash games back in the day!

For constructive criticism I'd work on conveyance, when I originally booted up the game I had no idea what the game was asking me to do until I read your page's description. Once I caught on to things though I really enjoyed it!

The art is absolutely top notch, one of the best I've seen in the entire jam so far.

The combat is tad bit too simplistic/repetitive and I think it could have used one or two other character moves that were required by the player to break up gameplay. Maybe a shield/deflect option for projectiles.

Nice take on the theme!

I liked this submission a lot! One simple thing I would change is the total weight of all of the fruits/player to simple values that are easier to remember. I found myself getting confused as to what the the three different fruit weighed when they were such small values as 0.1, 0.5, and 1.2 compare to the large player weight of 50. Making the player weight a smaller weight and setting the fruit values to 1, 5, and 12 (or even smaller amounts) would be alot easier to understand for me!

I also really liked the trail effect behind the player movement

Aesthetically and conceptually this game rules!!! I think making the avenues for the player to interrupt the enemies path more obvious/intuitive would go a long way in making this a more engaging game! A tower defense style game is a cool take on this theme!
