I liked this submission a lot! One simple thing I would change is the total weight of all of the fruits/player to simple values that are easier to remember. I found myself getting confused as to what the the three different fruit weighed when they were such small values as 0.1, 0.5, and 1.2 compare to the large player weight of 50. Making the player weight a smaller weight and setting the fruit values to 1, 5, and 12 (or even smaller amounts) would be alot easier to understand for me!

I also really liked the trail effect behind the player movement

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing the game and your feedback. Making the values integer will help the player to easily remember them and I think it will be a good addition to the game.

Great idea that was really well executed. It felt like a complete and polished game. The movement was a little sensitive but was otherwise refined. Cool game!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing the game and your feedback.

Great idea, but:

  • The eating sound is really annoying (maybe just for me).
  • The controls are too sensitive. It feels like you might have forgotten to account for Time.deltaTime.

But despite all that, good job!
Developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I agree to your points, they would have improved the game.

The levels are so well done, my math aint mathing at some levels but managed to get the levels done! Fun gameplay and the music is enjoyable! Also the platforming is nice!! Overall great game!

I like the jumping feel of this game, and the interpretation of the theme is also innovative~try mine!

Developer

Thanks for playing.

I will definitely play yours as well

Love the concept of using and actual weight scale to measure your "fatness level" 😅
One feedback: Either the controls could be a little bit slower and/or you could have some HUD showing how much each fruit is worth during the gameplay itself - since the values are already known beforehand.

Anyway, very good work and congrats on delivering a final product <3

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked the concept 😄

Adding the HUD in addition to slight reduction in speed is a good idea for it, and I think will improve the game.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and for playing the game.

Cool idea and implementation, but I wish slower movement

Developer

Thanks for playing and your feedback.

It's hard to judge the difficulty when you are the only one play testing. I will make the speed slower, as now after all your feedback I realised it was a bit too fast😅

Love the idea, agree with the comments that say the controls need more precision for the level design. Also, the flow is a bit interrupted by regularly needing to go back and forth between the fruits and the scale, and adding up the fruit math in my head was not exactly intuitive. Maybe better to use whole numbers for the weights?

Developer

You are damn right, if only I could get all these feedbacks before the jam started, the game could have turned out much more better.

Still, thanks a lot for your valuable feedback, it will surely help me to improve my games in the future.

Love the idea but  The Controls feel weird, the player too fast and falls way too quickly like he's a bag of bricks

I like the physics, maybe add up arrow key to jump and make the falling velocity smaller.

Developer

Every player have their own preferences, so yeah definitely I will add up arrow in addition to the space. Less  falling speed will give player additional control, so slightly reducing should be beneficial.

Thanks for your valuable feedback, and thanks a lot for playing.

I liked the idea of the game.

I rated your game.

Can you rate my game?

Developer(+1)

Sure, I will.

I like the premise of this game, and the execution was pretty good. A few nitpicks: I feel like the character controller was a little bit too slidey for the kind of game where you have to precisely control what small objects to collect and which ones not to collect. A reset button on the keyboard in addition to the one in the pause menu also would've been nice. And last one: I didn't like the gobble sound effect. at all. I'm very glad that I was able to mute sound effects in the pause menu.

Thanks for playing. After you mentioned it I do think that there is room for improvement and making this game better. Your feedback will definitely help me make better decisions in my future games, thanks a lot.
