I enjoyed this quite a bit. Simple yet so much joy to derive from a safe XD Legit sent me down a rabbit hole reading up on how safes work:

This could just be me, but is there any chance the directions are upside down? The image above (and the in-game text notes) says left is counter-clockwise, so that's counter-clockwise to 90 - so that's 0, 1, 2, 3.. to 90. But I only managed to open the safe doing the opposite: clockwise to 90 - 0, 99, 98.. to 90. I had to reverse everything to open the lock too.

Also is there supposed to be an opening animation for the safe? Or is it just the large click and soundwave?  Asking to know if I've successfully opened the safe XD

Awesome work with unreal engine \m/

Super fun and interesting! XD

I'm not the best at deep thinking when playing games, but it was designed so well that even I felt powerful when the kuehs combined. The music and the style makes the whole experience super immersive. Had a great time. Keep it up dev!

Just finished this awesome short boss rush game! And it's quite easy to see how much you've improved with this latest entry! XD

I think the game controls and feels good. There are seemingly reimagined mechanics from your previous titles like the special rush attack (from Rogue Hunter) and the bullet hell mechanics (from Vampire Hunter), and they are implemented here in such a way that they are both much more responsive and intuitive with the overall feel of the gameplay.

Also the music and the visuals are on point - I was genuinely engaged within the Near Singular world whilst playing.

Looking forward to more stuff \m/

Thanks ArcGames - I'll let Wilk and Takoren know of the good feedback! =D

Regarding the enemies, I recommend equipping all heavy parts. We didn't finish the loop or the tutorials due to limited time haha. Will try to do so once things calm down.

Thanks again for playing our entry \m/

P.S. Did you find the hidden message in my Remembrance comment? XD

Nice entry b̴̺̈́ro \m/ I think you naile̵̠̿d the atmospḧ̶̙́ere - it was really tense keepi̸̩̇ng an eye out for things, while also trying to n̵̹͗ot get jump scared̶̤̐ by ghosts. The environment looks really̵̝̓ well made, and the music is a really go̴̟͊od fit for what you̶̥̒'re trying to do.

I could stand the first creepy event, but the second one with the d̷͈̑o̷̗͝l̸̮̊l̸̺̃ and the 3d speaker atu I couldn't stand hahahaha! XD You need to tell me how you did that with the audio - it felt a bit too r̷̲̈e̸̲͌ȁ̴͇l̵̛̥ (in a good way) -_-'

Keep up the good work! =D

Hahaha, damn. I don't usually play horror games, but this one scared the h3ll out of me XD I like how it just starts out as just a simple day and quickly devolves into mayhem. The sprites were simple, yet were not lacking in detail at the same time, and the sfx fits really well. Keep up the good work dev! \m/

Edited for clarity.

Very creepy (in a good way)! XD The writing is engaging and the text fx really drives home the scene and was very well done. Keep up the good work dev! =D \m/

Edited because I jumbled my words XD

I finally managed to play this! I really like how the world looks and feels, and customization systems are always awesome XD Keep on dev-ing!

Hehe I see, I see. I think the commas confused me, is all XD

Yes, all those bugs sounds right. I will do my best to fix these! Thanks so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. Will definitely try to polish it up more =D

Thanks! I'm really happy that you had fun with this little title XD So far the response to this has been really encouraging! =D

Also wow! That's quite a score - I didn't know that was possible =P Did you rack up the time so that you could explore at a calmer pace? That was certainly a strategy I wanted people to use, but I didn't know the timer could go that high! XD

Edit: Added extra comments - Unless the commas are part of the bugs you're referring to. Regardless though, that's an awesome score! XD

Awesome! Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you had fun! XD

Also great scores! Depending on the scores people share, I'm thinking of putting out a speed run video to show people the more obscured parts of the game =D Maybe after the MYCE showcase this Thursday & Friday =)

Looking forward to it! XD

This is really well made! A bit too difficult for me though. I think it may have been a bug, but on my 4th try, the boss seemed to get stunned by one single deflect, so I just took advantage of that XD

Also maybe it's just me, but I think the KB+M controls are not working when controlling the hunter.

Overall I had a lot of fun with this game - the music is epic, and the graphics were pleasing to the eyes. Well done developer, keep it up! =D

I couldn't really get the characters to move before the game froze, but I think(?) I have a rough idea of what you were trying to do with the screens.

A day might not be enough to get it done, but I hope you manage to get this cool concept working eventually! Keep on keeping on, developer!

Yo. The look and the feel of this game is solid! Not sure if I'm missing something, but I'm pretty sure there's no exit besides this one:

Which leads to a gameover - but I could be wrong. Overall, I enjoyed my time with it! Keep on keeping on, developer! =)

Managed to reach the end! Such a good feeling XD Keep up the good work, dev! =)

Also one of the walls in the second level seems to be missing a collision? XP

This was a hectic but fun little game. Keep up the good work developer =)

I couldn't open the file for this. I keep getting this error:

Is it playable on your end? Any ideas? I google troubleshooted and tried to extract it, but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.

Cheers! =)

I had a very fun time with your game XD It feels like a cozy version of flappy bird. Keep up the good work! =)

Nice and clean 10s game! =D 13 seems to be the best I can manage for now - keep up the good work!

This was very cozy - good job! XD

The art, music, and controls in this are great! I especially appreciated the animation priority in the jumping - very deliberate XD Made finally getting those eggs very satisfying!

Yo, this is visually stunning, and with such good music and gameplay too! I'm not particularly good at these kinds of games, but this is the best I've managed by General Greviousing it XD

I like the amount of thought that went into this!

Keep up the good work =D

Hi interested players!

Thank you for checking out my small jam game! =)

Please feel free to post your best time/score (with screenshot) on here! I'm super curious to see how long it takes people to beat this ~90s level! XD

Happy (RE)Running!

Hi everyone. I hope you are all doing well.

I'd just like to share the trailer for the current (early build) project my small indie team is working on: Dongeng Bayang Kulit (Shadow Theatre Fables) - a classic turn-based combat game loosely based on Southeast Asian folklore.

We hope you check it out!

Here's the link to the demo which you can download and play for free: https://noonestudiosbn.itch.io/dbk

And if you're interested, our website which contains devlogs and other information: https://www.noonestudiosbn.com/

God bless, and stay safe.

Hi 1BitDragon team,

I hope you are all doing well. I'm currently experiencing a note skip bug similar to what this user has pointed out in the forums below:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/1864790/discussions/0/3758850346169932499/

This issue wasn't in the previous version. Fortunately I managed to capture a video (https://youtu.be/EXkEy17XsoM) of the bug in action (the focus is on the Guzheng on track1). It skips several notes randomly, and at times is perfectly fine.

Thanks 1BitDragon team! Keep up the good work =)

Edit: The note skipping also effects the recorded output.

Sincerely,

den399

Many thanks for playing my entry and for the feedback! Much appreciated =) I have taken notes and will do my best to learn from this experience.

Thanks for taking the time to play my  entry, and for the detailed feedback! I appreciate it. I have taken notes on these points and will do my best to improve on these issues =)

Thank you so much for your feedback! I have taken notes and will see to it that I learn properly from them! I am also super grateful that you took the time to see my entry through to the end, despite its balance problems. I appreciate it greatly! =)

Thanks so much for the kind feedback! It's unfortunate that the difficult battles has gated you from seeing the story through to the end (coincidentally also the part which I've invested the most love XD). I have taken this feedback to heart, and will definitely learn from my blunder and try to improve!

Thanks Charlottezxz! I am glad that something I made was able to be enjoyable! Words cannot express my gratitude for your kind feedback XD I have taken notes on the battle balancing and the gimmick time allocations, and will do my best to learn from these!

Thanks for taking the time to play my entry! I appreciate it =) I've taken notes about the battle balancing, and will try to improve as I go along.

The "header" error I suspect is likely due to the encryption tool I'm using. I'm currently learning about compressing files manually into a single exe without the use of external tools, that way errors like these won't show up in future projects. I apologize for any frustrations caused.

Thanks for taking the time to play my game, and for the feedback. I am sorry you did not get much fun out of it. You have given me much to think about. I will take these feedback to heart and try to improve =)

Thanks Nowis-337. I appreciate the kind words, and feedback. Difficulty balance and QoL are definitely something I will spend more time working on. My bad on those boss designs, I was experimenting with difficulty and mechanics and I think the general consensus is that it's way too punishing -_-' XD

This is amazing. It is very easy to see the love put into this. The art although seemingly simplistic, is actually really detailed and well done, and the scene transitions are timed to perfection, with the music and the great writing bringing it all home. Keep up the good work! =)

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for streaming my game! You have given me much to work with and to learn from, and for that I am truly grateful =)

The custom battlers were really cool, and I like how smooth the animations were (OldHar's katana draw in particular stood out)! The only minor issues I had were with the map (although it was really nice to look at, it also made it a bit easy to unintentionally hit dead ends), and the balance of the last boss (I felt like I only managed to beat it through luck, although this might be intentional since it is the last boss). Keep up the good work!

Edit/delete: Accidentally double posted the same comment.

Thanks for playing my game =)
