Omg I loved the 3D set up! Super cool!!

Very much agree with everyone else commenting on the "Alice in Wonderland" vibes!! I love the extra layer of humour and insight into MCs thoughts with the changes in the "Librarians" name tag throughout hehe

I love the visuals as well! Really nice 3D environment and the little zoom at the start worked so well to help bring you into the scene and feel immersed ^^

The Importance of Unimportance is simply a lot of fun to read, the way the dialogue twists and folds upon itself reminds me of both Alice in Wonderland (making sense of nonsense, etc.) and, of course, Waiting for Godot (finding meaning in the nothingness between meanings). It's delightful.

Ooooo, I really like how you incorporated the theme in this one. I thought it was very fun how the librarian's name changed throughout the conversation, and the environment was really wonderfully stylistic and moody. Nice job.

Thank youu! It was a toss up between a few ideas for the jam but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

LET ME REITERATE-- GODOT. GOAT. The setting you made in just 4 days is crazy, so talented!! Love me a bit of saucy and sassy back and forth between the narrator, player, and librarian, and the use of theme really does make you think about what is "(un)importance" and how individuals define it. Will definitely be sitting and stewing on that food for thought for a good few days... ( •_•)>⌐■-■

Thank youu!! Godot had me struggling and gaining grey hairs near the finish line. I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I hope to come back to this and add onto it ☺️

I agree with the commenter saying it's reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland in a way that makes for such fun, confusing conversation. The librarian says things with such confidence that I'm inclined to believe him, even if I don't truly understand what he's saying myself, and, the more times I play it, the more I come to understand.  The line about the player hesitating and then immediately having confidence where the librarian asks why even hesitate if you have confidence - it really stuck in my brain.

Also, Pipo is important, to ME

Thank you for playing!! I'm glad it all still made sense despite the very confusing nature of the story! Pipo will now exit the library, you single handedly saved Pipo 😌

this game gave me such an “alice in wonderland” vibe with the way the librarian was lowkey talking circles around the protagonist! and what an interesting concept too, a place that holds only things of unimportance – and how the “librarian” uses that in his wordplay. the writing has a very dreamlike, surreal sense to it, and i think the 3D background and movement really helps play into that.

amazing work in four days, especially with the detail in the backgrounds! it was a pleasure having my ass verbally handed to me ^_^

Thank youu so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation, he was even meaner in the draft but I had to cut some of it out lol

Once I got the game running this was a nice little walkthrough of how different things hold different importance to people! It might be post-jam brain mush but I played through it a couple times to actually try to understand what I was reading but the sentiment was there all the way through.

I didn't actually manage to catch the little drawing of Pipo on the wall whilst I played ! It's just now looking back through the screenshots that I saw it, might be worth brightening up the scene a tad so we can all see them <3

How did you get the game to run!  I'm having a lot of trouble.  (I'm on Windows.)

Hi ! Sorry if you already saw what the creator said in their description about how to play it, but you download both of the pc files there's an exe and pck file and put them both in the same folder on your computer and run the exe !

Thank you, and I'm glad you got the game running 😭, I should have made it easier to install and launch from the get-go. Thank you for letting me know, I'll be sure to up the luminosity in the update!!

Don't worry ! Was also on me for being a bit slow at reading the mention of it on the front page <3
Was still a gorgeous little play ! After I got a good nights sleep after that, I got to mull on it a little more with a clearer mind and it DID make me a little sentimental :]
