Nope not really haha, I only focused on keeping the fire alive and didnt really spend my materials to have it full because I was under the impression it was pointless to do that

I love the gameplay loop here and the atmosphere achieves its horror, I feel like having the monster appear one at the time made it less anxiety inducing and it was really easy to stock pile materials for the fire, I didnt need to use the pill during my playthrough, I think the gun having infinate bullets made it easy to shoot the monsters by spam clicking and reloading could make it better or i guess scarier?
Sorry haha, I apologise for the difficulty, it's from my lack of knowledge in good platformers /feedback from my friends about how hard it was. Half because I wanted to artificially increase the difficulty as well, If I decide to continue this game my main priority would be fixing the difficulty and include invincibility frames instead of treating this as a psuedo rage game in disguise. But I am glad you like the cat I drew but took from Scott Pilgrim
I definately have interest in continuing this project after the jam, and its great to know you and others see potential in this. I do think what I did was shooting myself in the foot to artificially increase the challange . Having people go to a side of the level that I intentionally made hard to view (I espesially notice that in level 6) I didnt really bother in fixing it during that time even when I knew how hard it was to pass, I'll make sure to avoid those types of encounters next time because I can tell it was really unfair espesially with the bugged hit registration. Thank you for the comment!
Thank you for the review and suggestion! I definately had more ideas planned when it came to the enemies and power ups, and such but I couldnt implement them in time of the submission, I do not really want to update the game during this period as I feel like that could be considered a bit cheating. However I think it was clear that in the later levels I was running out of ideas by that point when it came to platforming
