Nope not really haha, I only focused on keeping the fire alive and didnt really spend my materials to have it full because I was under the impression it was pointless to do that

I love the gameplay loop here and the atmosphere achieves its horror, I feel like having the monster appear one at the time made it less anxiety inducing and it was really easy to stock pile materials for the fire, I didnt need to use the pill during my playthrough, I think the gun having infinate bullets made it easy to shoot the monsters by spam clicking and reloading could make it better or i guess scarier?

Sorry haha, I apologise for the difficulty, it's from my lack of knowledge in good platformers /feedback from my friends about how hard it was. Half because I wanted to artificially increase the difficulty as well, If I decide to continue this game my main priority would be fixing the difficulty and include invincibility frames instead of treating this as a psuedo rage game in disguise. But I am glad you like the cat I drew but took from Scott Pilgrim

Ill keep that in mind

glad to know that!!

Ty!

I definately have interest in continuing this project after the jam, and its great to know you and others see potential in this. I do think what I did was shooting myself in the foot to artificially increase the challange . Having  people go to a side of the level that I intentionally made hard to view (I espesially notice that in level 6) I didnt really bother in fixing it during that time even when I knew how hard it was to pass, I'll make sure to avoid those types of encounters next time because I can tell it was really unfair espesially with the bugged hit registration. Thank you for the comment!

Thank you for the review and suggestion! I definately had more ideas planned when it came to the enemies and power ups, and such but I couldnt implement them in time of the submission, I do not really want to update the game during this period as I feel like that could be considered a bit cheating. However I think it was clear that in the later levels I was running out of ideas by that point when it came to platforming

Thanks!

Thank you! Ill definately make sure to give people an easier time next time when it comes to the levels

np!

I checked it out  and the bug is gone now, the game definately looks nicer without auto exposure

Sorry haha,  The game is hard but Its definately beatable, I hope the difficulty didnt make you hate it or anything, I have interest in continuing this project so I am curious what features you have it mind :)

With the added context I have better understanding with what you are going for, thank you for telling, you remind me of my dad who wants to learn more types of software but with his age finds it hard, good on you for taking small steps for something new

After taking out 5000+ bats I would say the gameplay is kinda addicting, gets stale really quick however with no viariety, The bats also have pathfinding issues and end up piling up into a crowd and lagging the game

The visuals gave me atari or old commodore 64 game vibes, or perhaps gameboy? Although I couldnt figure out how this relates to starting small

Great game, it was short and quick, I definately enjoyed the visuals

yep, It flashes alot in the build menu and also during the game which made it difficult  to play

This game gave off some mad max vibes and some nostalgic memories for me, this is pretty awesome! Although the  glare flashing during the build menu is pretty distracting for me

Good to know!

This game is short, sweet, and simple, haha

Thank you, The difficulty was intentional but some bugs diffinately did not help in making it less harder, haha

Thats great to know, I am confident now that the idea is genuinely good but my execution should improve, I definately have interest in continuing this project outside the gamejam and the constraints of a 10 day deadline

Thank you! If I knew how to code I feel like this couldve reached its full potential of having the actual resolution grow
