What a beautiful game! I love the modern arcade-style graphics and music. Obviously, the gameplay wasn't super original, but it seems like that's what you were going for. Great work!

It's an interesting concept, but it took a while to understand and got very tedious after a few minutes. I think having far fewer MallowMash would make the ending feel reachable, as well as making the little guys move much faster. Also, the background and simplistic characters are beautiful. I feel like it's pretty rare to find a jam game with good art and sound, let alone one centered around it, so for innovation, you get five stars.
Thanks for your feedback! I wanted to make the levels pretty hard since there are only three of them, but I would have liked to have taken some of the difficulty from the plaformer aspect and put it into the puzzles. I almost didn't include the sounds since there's only one, but I'm glad I did because I've already gotten two comments about them. Also, being on coolmathgames would totally rock.
I loved the little character animations, but I feel like the lack of a clear color palette and uneven sprite outlines really broke the art style. The gameplay was pretty fun, although at times it just felt like clicking and dragging. I think some more strategy on the levels would make it a lot more engaging, one idea is that you could make your characters retreat instead of being locked into fighting. Also, another character type or traps that you could lure the monsters into would go a long way. Obviously, it would be hard to put these things in when you only have a week, so I think you did a pretty good job in the end.
I love all of the assets for this game! The art, sounds, UI, effects, etc. are all absolutely amazing. I just really wish there was some sort of "restart level" button so that I could try again when I knew I wouldn't be getting any coins. You could definitely make something out of this if you added some more levels, enemies, weapons, obstacles, etc. Great work!
This was a very ambitious project considering you only had a week to make it, and I'd say you pulled it off pretty well. I was found myself very frustrated whenever the time ran out, but I kept playing again because I had some new bit of information that I knew would let me get a little further. The art could use a bit of polish and the addition of sound effects would be nice, but I don't know how you would be able to do that in just seven days. 6/5 for gameplay and creativity. Great work!
I can't believe how fun this game is despite its simplicity. I love the little details like how the boxes spin around your cursor and how the colors combine to their respective colors. How were you able to achieve that sort of "pinned by the cursor" effect? Oh, I also love the music and how it carries over between the title screen and the game. Great work!
Yeah, I've had a lot of comments about the unintuitive controls. Next time I'll be sure to put the instructions inside the game itself and make them a little more simple. The connection to the theme was that it's a game where you're trying to get rid of things, which I know is a different approach than many other people took. Since this was my first game jam, I wasn't really sure what interpreting the theme was supposed to look like. Thank you for the direct feedback and I'll make sure to play your game when I get the chance!
Thank you for your feedback! I actually started by not using the mouse at all and just using the space bar to pick up boxes, but then I realized I needed it for more precision. I agree though that you should also use the mouse to deliver the boxes instead of just dropping it the customers' feet. The UI was a bit of a last thought and I think the title screen could especially use some work. Just using super scaled up TMP doesn't look very good. I wanted to release the game in the browser like you said, but I've never published a game before and I ran out of time at the end. Thank you again for your constructive response and I'll be sure to play your game when I have a chance after the weekend!
Your game is so charming and clever! I love the level design and mechanics. If I were to make a few suggestions, I would add some sort of timer to indicate when the powers change and maybe some better colliders for the powerups (maybe I just don't understand how they work). Other than that, I love the clean, simple art and lighthearted text lines. Great work!
