I don't know if it is the case here, but sometimes I run into software that claims it is corrupted on MacOS and actually is just not recognized by MacOS, in which case you can use "xattr -cr (insert path to the application)" to give it the permission to run

Maybe that works here as well?

The game sadly won't start in the browser

Everything worked, thank you!

Hey! During the winter sale, the game was marked as 50% off., therefore I payed 3.99$. Now after the sale ended, I am unable to download the premium version :(

Is there something I messed up, or what can I do now?

Unique idea and fun! The Animations, the screen when you get caught, etc. That all is effort I appreciate. However, one thing I disliked a bit is that it felt that the teacher would turn around in the same rythm. So you basically already know when to sit down before the question mark appears. But good regardless

The idea is really cool, the graphics are good for a game Jam game and the controls are smooth.

Something I did not like that much was that you couldnt do that much. You basically are only able to move in 1 of two directions. It often happens that you just need to run in circles to get the medicine, then run back in circles for 10 further second.

I think the idea of controlling the robot with gears is good. However, I feel like it needs a twist in order to become interisting. Right now it feels like its impossible to get the medicine in time, but if you increase the time the player has it might become too easy to be a challenge, so there must be something else which is trying to prevent you from getting it done in time. As example: What about other mice appearing messing up controllins by walking over it and you need to get them away, or maybe the gears move, or walls appear depending on what happens on the overworld, etc. I feel like a good way to make it more interisting is to change the challenge from "run in circles fast enough to get medicine" to "You need to control the gears, but the game tries to stop you froom doing that".  Thats just one idea though and there are propably many things that can work.

I see that a lot of effort went into the game regardless, as example the robot slowly changing direction before moving, or the tail of the mouse getting dragged with it instead of turning with the sprite.

Thank you a lot for your Feedback! I totally understand your points and try to work on them.

The bug with sailing through is from what I know caused by you moving up and down against a part of grass without much corners.  It sadly exists becauce my collision is based on the autotiles and I didnt had enough time left to create collision by hand.

The idea of the character getting older the lower the time is is really smart, so you dont have to watch the time all the time. There is not a lot of depth to it, but for a GameJam game thats fine. The sand hour mechanic flipping was also more interisting than a simple timer. However, there are often situations with no enemies, so maybe you could have slowed the movement of the enemies down and marked the range of the character better, but in tradeoff increase the damage of the enemies a bit to compensate.

Pretty fun highscore game! However, I think the view is an issue. Because you look from so high up, its a bit hard to guess how high you currently are. But the game has an menu, catchy title music and fitting gameplay

Dammit, someone else had a simular idea! However, this is a very cute little game. I cant believe it´s your first game, because its just so polished. The music is, altough its not made by you, implemented very well and thats effort as well, with good soundeffects. The sounds of the honk, the catchy title melody, the sound of the train moving, etc. All of that is well done. The graphics are good as well, the only complaint may be that the background is very blank, but I dont expect that detail from a Jam Game and that this is my biggest complaint shows how fitting the rest is.

Gameplay is solid as well, altough the tutorial was a bit long and because you only have to shovel in coal at that point its not too interisting either. Maybe combining 1 and 2 into a single level would have been better, or just shortening them a bit. Level 3 however is good. I think the durabillity of the gear should have been a bit lower and oling it should take a bit longer as well, because the gear was in my playthrough never really that important.

Overall a just really polished game, with more levels and a bit better balancing it will for sure keep you entertained for quite some time.

Very simple in concept, yet has an surprising depth to it. Due to the different lenght of the pointers you sometimes cant move some pointers without moving others. This and other mechanics create a simple but deep and interisting puzzle-like game.

However, the friction is extremely low, which causes them often to move much further than I wanted. So I basically had to move every pointer extremely slowly, which ruined the pacing a bit. But with more polish in regards of the balancing of the physics and making visuals a bit more clear, this game is really fun

Thank you a lot for the positive feedback! I sadly had to cut a lot of corners in terms of graphics in order to develope it in 3 1/2 days, especially in terms of animations, Y sorting and the font. But I am glad that you enjoyed it regardless!

The controls are a bit weird to get used to, would have been nice to have space for jump as secondary option. But besides that very fun little game

I will start with the negative and move over to the positive:

I think instead of attack on the mouse, it would have been better to have it on a key and let the character Attack in the direction he is looking currently. The controls feel a bit sluggish, but thats okay because the platforming doesnt has to be that precise. The Game also has a lot of bugs sadly, which is normal for a GameJam Game, but in this case some stopped me from reaching the end (If you have more than 8 shells, you cant trade them in anymore and you have to talk with him before as well. I sadly needed to finish the game 3 times because of this). I also think the special item was not used that well. You are required to collect gears, but there is no reason for it to be gears, it could have been any other item as well.

Its very cool that you integrated actual characters to talk with. This game has a lot of charm, more than you would expect from a Game Jam. Sadly the timer forces you to rush and makes it hard to take time for the texts, maybe pausing the timer while talking would have helped a bit. The small sidequests and rooms add on to the charm of the game as well. Combining the time with your health was a really cool idea as well. Some other games in the jam (mine included) lean too much into other features to kill you, causing the time to feel unimportant. This however solves the problem and integrates the theme time into the game sucessfully.

Really good and awesome idea, but the Level Design is often very frustrating. The rythm seems to be a bit weird as well.I also would have wished that you play a bit more with the time mechanic, I usually only died because of the jump and run and the timer doesnt really effect you much.

However, this game looks really good and the idea keeps you interested. With more Levels and more polish I would even pay money for it
