Thanks for the great review!
Yeah, down seems to be pretty unpleasant :D
As for the gaps, you're the first one to point them out actually, great observation. I see them in Unity and in the Windows build as well, probably some issue with the Tilemap feature or I messed up the size of the tiles slightly, need to figure that out for the future, thanks!
Very fun game! Loved playing it and it kept me on the edge which is a great sign. I had some frustrations though, first of all I didn't see the flying bots on my first run and I lost without knowing what went wrong. Secondly the sensitivity was very hard to balance, the game starts off with the slider on the lowest value but it seems that the actual value of the sensitivity is maximum, managed to get it right on the 2 run though and it went much better. The times between waves seemed really short and I didn't have enough time to collect all gears, maybe autocollect gears when the wave ends? Also I didn't see any feedback when I got hit or when the base lost a life, would've helped a lot.
Amazing work! Definitely the most fun game I've played in this jam and top 5 in all categories for sure. Not much I can contribute in terms of feedback, because everything is almost perfect! I didn't figure out how to kill demons, maybe you can't or maybe I'm a dumbass :D Hope you keep working on this and make it a full game, definitely has potential to be a great release!
He ended our date because he didn't like the same music as me 0/10.
JK 😁Amazing game! Really interesting blend and if fits very well with the theme. Amazing visuals, great story and dialogue. Wish it also had some music and sounds, but that's not a deal-breaker. One thing that bugged me was the fact that I had to read dialogue and choose answers while I was playing the arcade game, so I kinda half-assed both of them, other than that it's an awesome game, congrats!
The best game I tried in this game jam yet and I'm pretty sure it will remain in the top 5. Amazing presentation, concept, story, visuals, music, basically everything is amazing here. Gave it 5 stars in all categories because it totally deserves it, you really put your soul into this one (pun intended :D)
In terms of potential improvements I found the game a bit hard, lost 4 times in a row. Maybe that's me, because the first run was trial and error but the 2,3,4 I had a solid grasp but still lost by a tiny margin.
The player gets stuck on walls sometimes when you jump and keep holding the arrow key that points to the wall.
I'm also interested in following your progress, are you planning on posting updates/devlogs?
Interesting idea, nice visuals and sounds a pretty clear implementation of the theme. Gameplay wise it didn't really feel like I was balancing work and leisure and more like I was trying to catch some bubbles, but that's totally subjective.
Overall it's a fun game with clear mechanics and it's very intuitive what you have to do, great job!
I hate slimes, yuck, glad I managed to kill off some :D
Really fun game, has a bit of a bullet-hell vibe mixed with tower defense which also ties pretty neatly into the theme. I think the gameplay is definitely the strong part here and you can make it a lot better with just some minor tweaks.
Now to the things that bothered me: the grass seemed to big and dense, it blocked off my view and it was frustrating. I would've loved to see the health bar of the slugs and my damage numbers, if upgrades are involved I think players want to see their damage numbers go up.
And finally the mushroom house was kinda small and hidden away, I didn't understand that I need to protect it at first.
Congrats on your first 3D game, you did great and thanks for your feedback as well!
Went into it without reading what the controls are and got my ass whooped 😁Then came back with my newfound knowledge of BLOCKING and beat it! Cool game, the mechanics and aesthetics are definitely on point! The damage frames are a bit confusing at times, seemed like I was getting hit before the enemies landed their strikes, also would've loved to hear some cling clang sounds when fighting. But overall, for the amount of time that you put in it's an awesome game!
Got a bit stuck at first, couldn't figure out how to start the game I tried mashing E, Space, mouse click etc. finally understood that Enter does it. It would be a lot more intuitive if you just put a "Press Enter To Start" text there. Then I got stuck when talking with NPC's, at first I thought it was glitched, then I figured out that you need to point out a clue.
PS.: Finished the game and the concept is really cool, loved collecting clues and piecing them together. The gameplay, theme integration and the game overall is really solid, nicely done!
