Haha if they want a say they can come to the thread. Great point, I've added Fantasy and Sci Fi as Genres, hopefully this can be used to make a genre list for next year.

Really liked the puzzle mechanic, and was impressed by how polished it was. Was sad it was a demo, looking forward to if you develop it into a full game. Nice work!

Cool!

I think it makes sense to put it in the category that makes it unique, as most of these games have creepy elements in some form or another!

Yeah, those make sense. I think if I add too many more categories I will die trying to maintain this list haha. So might not try to break it down too fine

Fun concept, interested to see where it went past the intro!

The very deep voice cat meows made me laugh.

Nice slightly eerie mystery vibes, and very polished for a game jam, I was really impressed!

Hello! I have found that figuring out what you want to play in these jams can be hard with 272 entries of very different kinds of games! It is also hard to stand out when you aren't able to highlight your genre. Here is a work in progress list of games by genre that I am putting together: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17VoDozhc9qvIfTTVYwKQa-5_0EEjRg1JPgyoNp8x3Qg/...

The Current Genre Categories are:

- Horror (Creepy / Atmospheric / Psychological)

- Horror (Disturbing Themes / Gore)

- Comedy

- Mystery / Thriller

- Romance / Dating Sim (General)

- Romance (GL/Lesbian)

-Romance (BL/Gay)

 - Cozy / Cute / Heartfelt

- Avante Garde / Artsy / Concept Exploration

-Fantasy

-Science Fiction

If I haven't put your game on here and you would like it added or think it is in the wrong genre, feel free to comment with your games genre. Also feel free to make suggestions of other games to add to categories, or suggestions around the genre categories if something seems like it's missing. To try and make this easier for individual games to be noticed, I think it makes sense to limit it to the one genre that best describes a game and makes it stand out, as most Spooktober games will be spooky!

Nice work! I thought you were building an interesting world, and wanted to understand the cult better, but I found the clash of the visuals and the main character referencing modern day things and making jokes kind of took me out of it a bit. It might be cool to take the risk of the main character and the text taking the whole thing more seriously, maybe make it a period piece? You could get some cool creepy vibes going!
Also I liked the eye animation for making choices, that looked really cool.

This was great, all the components work really well together, loved the character designs. It hit the right level of spooky/creepy but not overly stressful, which is my favorite volume of horror in a game. Thanks for a fun experience!

Fun atmosphere and style, nice work
