I love how simple but solid the game mechanics are and how the game feels! The bgm also very much fits the 8-bit aesthetic. This might be a skill difference, but I did have issues either bumping into the walls and getting stuck there or zooming past the exit gate because the acceleration on the bike was too fast.

Really good job on your first game jam! The smaller features outside of the main gameplay loop were fun additions. I especially liked the character select screen and the crane grabbing animation. But adjusting the enemy speed or giving the player some way to avoid them would be helpful in getting the player on a roll. It's a bit dissatisfying when the only way to maintain health is having to one-shot the enemies or risk getting flanked and overwhelmed.

The game idea and the aesthetic that you chose for the game are cool! But I think it would be more fun if there was more audio and if the controls were polished further. Good job!

Great job on making the game assets! They were all cohesive and it helped boost the theme. It might be a skill difference, but the sudden increase in spawned enemies spiked the game difficulty. After tweaking the game a bit more, it'll be even more fun!

The synchronization between the music and the notes are so crisp! And the animations are also very cute!

I love the theme and the dialogue of the different branches!

The contrast between Cubbie and her paint buckets (which are super cute!) versus the world added a nice touch to the atmosphere! It really makes you feel like you have to escape.
