Feel free to do some abstract interpretation :> Get creative with it.

"a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically one that is unwelcome." gives a lot of room to play around and subvert expectations!

Nice simple game that played really well! I would also like to see a little more progression, but I wouldn't expect that to be perfect from the get-go with a student submitted game jam game. You should be proud of this!

our secret strategy has been discovered... :^)

Thank you! And I agree, its the part of the state flow we were least concrete on and it didn't really come to be until we were in the home run stretch and doing anything else would have been too risky haha

Super charming! Love the presentation but could definitely do with some tweaking to try and discourage repeating the same level over and over

Im not sure if I understood what was happening properly, when rolling the white pieces they often did not change to what it should. But I love the premise!

Not sure if it fits the theme, but I had a lot of fun with it regardless

Not sure how it fit the theme but I liked the premise and aesthetic! I'm a little colour blind so it was a little more tricky than usual I think...

I liked the premise but it was very difficult to understand what was going on, I'd love to see this fleshed out some more!

Its got an amazing aesthetic! It was a little unintuitive what does what and how, but once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed the depth!

There's so much charm to this game, I love the strategy element! Music is great too!

I like the creativity in some of the level's mechanics!

Love the premise, though the movement can be a little frustrating at times

Love the music & presentation!

Gorgeous game! I adore the sounds and visuals, the abilities were a little unintuitive at first but I got the hang of it :)

Love the concept! The Roulette Wheel moving in the background made it feel really exciting.

Ah sorry to hear that! ALT+Enter should toggle full screen on most Unity Games, you can try the build via the GitHub Release pages also to see if it's some lingering perf overhead caused by one of the bugs I fixed.

If it's still giving you grief and you want to play it still reach out to me on Discord/Twitter and I'll figure out what the cause is and get something working for you :)

GitLab has helped me in the past with asset sizes, functionally the same thing, hopefully that would be allowed also.

Thats a good shout, I'll see how much work it would be to add that as a post jam feature

Agreed! It doesnt help that the itch.io build has a bug removing the default key bindings when you boot it up lmao

Gorgeous art! I'm absolutely terrible at the game but I love it!

I adore this game, the visuals are superb and the concept is unique and interesting. Great job!

Love the visuals and premise! Could do with the turn speed and Jump wind up having a little more speed added to them to reduce downtime, but those are small complaints :)

I love this premise, its such a unique take on the Foddian idea, it plays and looks super nice! Great job!

Hey Calum,

I'm going to be trying to devote weekends to it for now, got most of the basic mechanics in today, so it'll just be tweaking/polish/level creation (I hope - it's never as easy as that). All my deadlines are the end of April, we have a milestone of one module the week after the deadline for this so I've just got to incorporate it into my slow burn I suppose. I'm surprised only 51 or so people are in the game jam group on here, I thought more would've gotten through.

I hope as this goes on we all get a bit comfortable showing progress, I know Im a bit apprehensive showing anything in these early days, I'd love to see everyone's progress! The best part of a game jam is having a wander around and seeing what monstrosities people have constructed ahaha

Cheers

Josh

Hi all,

Im from the University of Derby, Computer Games Programming.

I seem to be going a bit of a different way, making a first person puzzle game with some magnet mechanics, Means I'm basically ripping apart a large chunk of the existing code, and focusing hevaily on the Magnet concept as opposed to the flowing. But it doesn't seem like thats frowned upon too much!

My main concern right now is juggling it with my final year modules, they've been quite taxing on time already :s

Goodluck!

Josh
