Probably, yeah. This is the first jam where I've really felt like expanding on the idea. Thanks for playing! ^^

I'm still unsure how to do scaling... So that's for the future. Thanks for playing ^^

Yeah, I most likely missed a lot of stuff. (that's what I get for working on it until the last 30 minutes lol)

I definitely could give the game much more polish after the jam... Thanks for the ideas!

Thanks for the idea! Maybe I’ll implement that if I keep working on the game :D

The game looks cool for (what I assume is) a solo project!

  • a lot of cool models
  • easy to follow instructions
  • chill music and sfx

A few issues:

  • Doesn't fully fit the theme
  • There was an issue with the black screen, since I was playing on fullscreen. The image is below:

Very fun game (especially considering the timeframe)

  • very cool sprites
  • cool idea
  • good writing! I laughed a few times lol
  • good sound design!
  • nice backgrounds!

I have a few notes though:

  • the UI audio is a bit loud
  • player feels a bit too fast
  • I'd like more contrast between tiles and void/goop. Maybe white tiles?

Very good job though ^^

1. The issue is that the menu doesn’t scale correctly… I don’t know how to fix that though.

2. I probably did, thanks for noticing that issue!

3. Much appreciated! I think that’s my biggest strength in this game haha

Thanks for taking the time to play and comment!

I would say it took like 2 runs (maybe 30 minutes) to beat the game.

I quickly learned to try several combinations, but I didn’t understand that the thing on the bottom right ui showed where the portal was until the second run.

The first run was sorta just trying stuff out, but the second one had me sweatily using only a few combos that I found really powerful. The first time I died to the boss (cool idea btw) and the second, I shredded it.

I don’t have any full name ideas, but I like the idea of using the cowboy motif.

Maybe… Alcheslinger? (alchemist/gunslinger)

(1 edit)

This game is my favorite so far.

I tried out a lot of the different builds, and I fell in love a few. (if anyone reads this, red-yellow-red is broken, and I use purple-red-red for mobility)

The boss is really fun, and I love the tone.

The only real issue I have is that I got stuck in the win-screen... (bug)

Edit: Also, the name is a bit weird, but names are hard so, eh

I hope you guys win ^^

This game is enjoyable, if not a little complex.

There were many scenarios where I typed something that seemed logical, but didn't work. I don't know how the code works, but perhaps you you could make the script ignore words like 'the' or 'a'..?

Additionally, whenever I click the LMB, it would register as sending a message, which quickly flooded the screen.

Overall though, really cool atmosphere! I really felt nervous when playing lol

Ngl the backgrounds were placeholders, but I’m glad you liked them! (And the level types)

yeah, I was sort of crunched on animations and wasn’t able to work on them a lot. Definitely I need to experience so I can make better animations faster.

I also really wish I could’ve added more. Maybe I will post-PJam…

I’m still unsure how to do lighting… I’ll figure it out this the future though. ^^

Thanks for all the comments <3

Glad you found it :)
