Fun I was about to put the fourth barrel into the ocean but nothing to put, it either got picked up with the first one I grabbed or it got knocked out of the map. Seeing they don’t move I was thinking the first :)
I had fun spearfishing, the swimming was a little hard to smash the jump button, had to be really close and at the right angle to collect the things. more HUD and this could even be multiplayer lol Great Job love the background music and sfx made it feel more real!
When I saw the screenshots, I knew I had to play it because I love games with water--Subnautica, Bioshock. You had great visual FX and the music was very calming, it was like a juxtaposition when my boss told me I had to go out spearing water-creatures! I felt so bad when I speared an eel! Then the turtle! Oh! It was funny how the things all stayed on the spear the whole time like a shish kabob or like those Katamari games.
Super charming game! The ambience and vibes of it were really calming, I actually did not at all expect to be killing the sea creatures lol. The music was great, the low poly graphics were nice, unfortunately my game crashed a little after I got an eel. I also couldn't exactly figure out what the theme "Decay" had to do with this.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience! Nice work.
Good game and important message. I would like the objects on the spear to disappear over time so that they do not interfere with the view.
Cool message and love the humor and personality, Also the world is detailed and nice!
Some issues with WebGL build, UI is very small and the game has some lag and visual glitches, but the models are really well done and its a nicely made environment. I killed Gary and went to take the selfie which worked well but Gary was stuck on my spear and I couldn’t do anything else.
After you said what the play on decay was I actually really love how you’ve gone about it although it is very hard to notice or get to due to the bugs and issues. I’d find a way to drop a hint to make it more noticeable that you’re damaging the environment like maybe this is meant to be a protected zone with endangered fish that you’re illegally killing foor example.
Think you got incredibly unlucky with the WebGL export as there is a very cool idea underneath.
Hey,
Thanks for your feedback! The idea was to have the environment decay as the player damages the wildlife. Its an actual entry, and honestly, I think its a pretty good one, we are proud of our game. The final web build is a bit laggy for the first 5 seconds after loading, we will upload a downloadable version for players that have browser issues.
Ahhh alright let me go play it again so. I will edit my rating and review and play it further
Thanks for the replay! We appreciate the nice comments. Gary getting stuck on the spear is a feature! (The player must be constantly reminded of their decision for the rest of the game). Spearing more eels or turtles will add to the spear kebab (build the endangered animal kebab to progress the objectives).
Haha I love that, good stuff
The game looks cool for (what I assume is) a solo project!
A few issues:
Thanks for your feedback, our idea was environmental decay, (as you damage the wildlife, the coral and fish start to disappear in stages). This project had a few contributors, (listed in the description). We will look into the full screen bug!
Sadly the game is lagging so much that it becomes unplayable and I have a good PC. Although it is very smooth when I look at the sky, the moment I look down its a dia-show. Is that only on my-side?
