Your game was a lot of fun! If you're interested, here's our game - We'd love some feedback!

:)

Really fun game! Enjoyed the design of the levels and the use of the rewind feature and liked that the levels required a bit of back and forth to unlock the path to the next level. Great job!

Really cool level design and use of the rewind theme! I really enjoyed how challenging the levels were and how from the very beginning you become mindful of how many times you Restart (rather than just spamming it). Great job! :)

Thanks so much!!! And thanks for the feedback! This is something we'll definitely consider! :)

Up there with the games I've had most fun playing in the jam. Really cool rewind mechanic and it gets really complicated once you get to those last set of keys (had to redo a few times!). Great job!

I enjoyed it! Liked the back and forth between characters and the art style you used! I'd love to see the game develop even further! Great job!

Really enjoyed this game! The gameplay loop was very addictive and fit the theme well. I also loved the background music, which was very chill and suit the style of the game. Great job!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Originally we wanted to be as minimalistic as possible (just that time was ticking) but this is something that has been mentioned a few times and definitely something we could add. Thanks again for the comments!

This is great feedback, thanks a lot! The idea behind it was to be as minimal as possible in terms of indicating to the player where they were in terms of age - other than the visual representation of course. Just that time is ticking so keep moving and keep looking for the pills. The laughter itself was the only indication we gave (i.e. you better start taking those pills!). However, maybe an additional means of indicating to the player where in their “life cycle” they were would have been better!

I really like the end boss idea and it’s definitely something that would have added to the tension!

Thanks again for the feedback. It really helps us improve! :)

Played this with headphones and it did not disappoint.... Audio and game design were spot on and I really like how the theme was central to the gameplay loop. Everything contributed really well to the immersion. My two pieces of feedback:

1. The controls were rather sensitive. It did make my character look like a terrified mess at times (suddenly looking behind him XD) but I think maybe this could be tweaked?

2. Some parts were rather dark (getting the tools for example) and meant it was a bit tricky to see.  I realise the design choice behind this, so perhaps making the torch (I think that lighting was from a torch) more powerful would help?

Overall I really enjoyed it! :)

Your game is really fun!  If you're interested, we're always looking for feedback:

This might be my favourite game of the jam so far! Amazing music, really cool concept (that actually allows you to enjoy the music) and fit the theme perfectly. Really good job, congrats! :)

Really cool mechanics involving the 4 robots! Like the others have said the game could have benefited from a tutorial and the jump sometimes felt a bit off (especially with bigger jumps), but other than that I had fun playing it! Great job!

I thought this was a very cool project! I haven't seen too many other games like it in this Jam, too! I do think it would benefit from an opening tutorial, but love that you can go pacifist! When developing it further, maybe some additional animations for enemy attacks would be  good too! Well done and I hope you continue to work on this! :)

Definitely, and we’re really glad you had fun! :) Same with your game!

Thanks so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed the game (especially as it was our first!). Thanks for checking it out, and congrats on making a great game! :)

As someone who will welcome our eventual robot overlords, this made me really sad! Really cool story and clever use of the rewind function in those puzzles (some of which were really tough!). I'm not ashamed to say I got stuck, but please don't tell our robot overlords.... Great job!

Just to echo the other comments, the controls are perfect! Really smooth to play and great tutorial placement! Music IS AMAZING!!!! My favourite thing about this game, and I do love a good slide feature!!! Unfortunately, I got stuck in a bridge, just after the first key section, but other than that, great job team!

If you're interested, feel free to check our game out! :)

A really cool idea! The levels were designed well and I liked the challenge of planning moves and having to factor in whether or not I'd hit a wall - or play it safe and input a few moves at a time. Please do work on this more as I'd love to see the final game with audio etc! Well done!

Fried things are the best.

Amen to that! All the conversations I've had on here have been amazing, as have all the games I've seen so far. Truly, we're all winners here.

Agreed, friend! :) NOW RATE MY GAME.

That was just a joke...

You make a lot of good points and there are definitely holes in the "here take 20 games and review them OR ELSE" approach. I guess the point I was trying to get at was that it would be great to see everyone get some constructive feedback back from their games. Now I realise how difficult this is given over 8000 people entered and there are thousands of projects out there, and you're right, if you get an allocation that is barely playable, then it renders this a bit pointless. How about having a rating system that doesn't have a "winning goal" but instead just provides an indication as to the quality of your entry? Just ideas, and I think, as you said, this system works.

In the end we just have to hope that everyone is being upfront and honest (I think for the most part they are). In the end we're all winners, imo.

Thanks so much for the feedback! We wanted to make a short, but fun game and I'm glad there were bits you enjoyed! In the game time is constantly working against you and the enemies definitely make it worse! Thanks again for the feedback and congrats on making a very good game (I played yours - it's really good!). :)

The cutscenes!!! Wow! The concepts, visuals and audio were all awesome. I really enjoyed playing it and liked how intense it felt from the start. A few things that might be worth improving on are the controls (which were quite sensitive) and a few design choices, I noticed at times that I'd try and get an orb but it would miss me completely, leaving me stuck at a bridge. Really hope you keep working on this as there is loads of promise! Well done!

As much as I’d love as many people playing games we make as possible (and myself to be playing as many as possible) I think it would be interesting if every participant was given a random allocation of X number of games to review in these 2 weeks. That way everyone gets some feedback and that feedback may be more meaningful as each participant has a specific total to go through.

Meaningful feedback is way more important than ratings. I’d like to hope we all want to improve and make better games in future jams and meaningful feedback does a lot to aid that.

Visuals, music and squishy animations were awesome! Think maybe a tutorial would have helped as I was one of those who jumped right in without reading the description. Well done!

I enjoyed playing it!! Music and theme were awesome! There possibly could have been a tutorial to better explain the game but great job! :)

The theme was cool and very in keeping with the Jam's! Loved the look and music but as others have said, the jump was a bit fiddly. Well done!

Thanks a lot!! Great job on your game too and thanks for the feedback! We're already looking into it for out next project. :)

A really fun game and the time travel feature was really cool! Great job!
