I hope you do go more in-depth with this, because I would love to see more!!

This is really cool! I would love to see it as a full game, do you think you'll develop it into one some day?

Thank you! I definitely wished I had allocated more time to finishing the gameplay elements, but at least I know for next time that animating takes awhile so I can build a better schedule for making the project ^^

Thank you so much!! I love researching and learning about lost media so it was fun to channel that passion into my "game" jam project!

Such a cute game!! I sure hope Frankie can keep their friend!

This is absolutely amazing! I hope you can make it into a real game someday, I would play so much of this!!!

Thank you!! I'm lucky to have some experience with 3D models that let me zoom through making them, though if you look too closely you can really see how rushed they ended up being ^^;;

I love this song! It's such a perfect visual novel song!

This looks like it would be fun to play! I love unraveling mysteries and your art style is really cool and makes it seem like it would really be fun to play through and see all the cryptids in your style!

I love the way the characters look in this game! The ps2 / low poly 3D designs make this look like a AAA game I would have seen an ad for in a 2007 gaming magazine, and the UI you made for the game look so cool!!

This is amazing and the aesthetic is so good!! I love card games and I would definitely play the heck out of this!

The game and the video itself is supposed to evoke an uncanny feeling. It's not actually a 2010s era commercial, it's not actually a VHS tape, and it's not actually a video game. By making things off and unaligned feeds more into that eerie feeling to let the audience know something's wrong; moreover that something's fake. It's almost like a temporary glance into an alternate reality, where the game exists, where things are amiss from how we know them. A big inspiration from this mixed form of unreality art style is Omega Mart, an amazing permanent art installation that has several youtube videos showcasing their themes and displays.

Overall it's supposed to be a surreal piece of art, that has layers, and as you stare at it, the layers come apart at their seams,  leaving you only with a disconcerting feeling.

Though, art isn't always meant to be explained, and the intent behind the piece can be easily lost if intent is not clearly laid out, so I'm sorry for that, but my intention was to not make something authentic, but to make something unique.

The art is incredible in this!!

This game is so awesome! I would play so much of this game if it existed, and I definitely could see it having a big cult following where people talk about it decades after it's release. Your PDF is so well made and looks so nice, I hope you make a personal printout for yourself to show off to others cause it's really amazing!

This seems like a super fun concept for a visual novel! Having the main character already know all the other characters but having to build new relationships with them is a great way to bring the player into the world and have the player easily learn about everyone!

Dude I am super tired after staying up late to finish this, but I love 3D modeling so much that helped being able to super focus on that for several hours without leaving my computer. Animations on the other hand, are not as easy to love and I think I finished them with only a couple of hours before the timer ran out. I definitely gotta plan for a smaller fake game next time so I can get some more sleep.

Thank you! Staying up super late and trying to remember how to texture and object at 2am definitely paid off for the end result

Thank you! I love VHS tapes and watching uploads of old promotional tapes people find in thrift shops, so I wanted to incorporate that into my game!
