Whoaaa this is a really sick concept I love how dark and twisted it is paired with these rlly low poly graphics of the characters and environment. Spooky stuff I would love a game like this forreal!
I love the way the characters look in this game! The ps2 / low poly 3D designs make this look like a AAA game I would have seen an ad for in a 2007 gaming magazine, and the UI you made for the game look so cool!!
I like the look of this. It makes me think of project zomboid. The premise is an interesting one as well, altough I like it could be refined if you are considering expanding on this idea. 1% of the world is still 80 million psychic people which seems like a lot. If you do any story crafting for this, we'd be curious to watch it evolve.
Really neat concept for a game! I also dig the more lo-fi aesthetic you've gone for here, pairs really well with the concept.
I really love the visuals and theming here. Although personally, I would use my psychic powers to make everyone flee and live peacefully with the Pikmin
Really unique and cool interpretation of the theme. Just like your last "Not a Game Jam" entry I can't help but falling in love with the beautiful visuals on display here. I especially like the very CRPG feeling UI design, it complements the rest of the visuals perfectly.
When the "friend request" theme was announced the only idea i could come up with was "invading someone's mind and turning them into your thrall is kind of like a friend request that you can't deny." Maybe I'm a little too fixated on warfare...
I wanted to use this year's not a game jam to try some trim sheet/Dream UV stuff... you can get some decent "retro-style" textures pretty easy this way, but i really underestimated just how much work a good looking 3d environment would take, especially when I had to work at my job all weekend!
Terrifying!
